HP is selling off it's pc division and killing webOS phones and the TouchPad. Basically they are going totally enterprise and getting out of the consumer market.
It's amazing how in 4 short years Apple has turned the industry upside down. While they had a lot of success with the iPod, their mind share went through the roof with the release of the iPhone. In the last 4 years:
MS abandoned their mobile OS and has started over Palm has gone out of business RIM is suffering and will probably go under in another year Nokia has abandoned it new OS before it was even released and teamed up with MS and their new OS Apple have basically doubled it's laptop sales Apple released a tablet computer and completely dominated that market
This is no small feat. My hats off to Steve Jobs. The guy is everything everyone has said about him. His lone vision has changed the world of technology. I may still not agree with all of his policies but I respect the guy and what he's done.
