And the Velvet Underground sucked cuz they didn't have any top 40 hits.

I like that when this got brought up on Stern's show, Artie (a musical idiot) mentioned having seen documentaries of a number of punk bands, and that they all name check the Stooges as inspiration.
not to mention this neo-garageband sound (White Stripes, Black Keys) definitely owe a shitload to the Stooges.
Fuckin' morons.

Top 40 doesn't mean you matter. I guess Britney Spears, Vanilla Ice, and New Kids on the Block matter more than the Stooges and Velvet Underground. Nothing whips my ass more than musical idiots.

I'm sure there are some who'd argue April Wine, Molly Hatchet, the Knack, Creed, etc were super relevant kickass bands, too.

Glenda.

No link or nothing. This is the gal that emailed and called into the HL for many many years. She had a heart attack Saturday and apparently died this morning. I always got a kick out of her, she sounded like she didn't put up with a lot of shit.

The Bird

Sad story. He went too soon. I remember watching him, as a teenage Ich, pitching for the Tigers. He was a goofy looking bastard to begin with, and then would stand on the mound and hold the baseball up next to his mouth and talk to it whenever a new batter came to the plate.

He was truly an original.

Marilyn Chambers

Behind the Green Door was one of the first X-rated films an impressionable Ich ever witnessed. One could say that Ms. Chambers was responsible for a virtual Ich family genocide as countless possible offspring were wantonly wasted and sprayed around the house! The horror.... The horror

Dom Deluise

Top 5 Dom Deluise Roles

One of my favorite Dom Deluise movie roles was Ernie Fortunato in Hot Stuff This was a little seen "B" movie from 1979 he did with Jerry Reed and Suzanne Pleshette. The plotline was ehh, but the on screen chemistry between Dom and Jerry Reed made this movie a giggle, not to mention the Suzanne Pleshette made meh 19 year old Ich pants have a hair trigger! :weenie:
