As much as I love Star Wars he doesn't belong. Nobody outside huge Star Wars Nerds knows who he is. In fact I bet less than 2% of the US population knows who he is.

I was just watching ESB last night on Spike. I still pee a little at the opening credits and music.

My first Hutch uniform had number 17 on it in honor of my favorite Cowboy, Dandy Don. I knew all of his stats and didn't understand why he couldn't throw 24 TD with only 12 interceptions every year.

Definitely IN! Fond memories of watching MNF with my Dad. Dandy Don's folksy commentary was a polar opposite to Cosell's pompous blathering... A part of my childhood just died as well.

My favorite Dandy Don moment was from 1967 against the Redskins. I copied this narrative from wikipootia.

October 8, 1967, DC Stadium: The Redskins led 14-10 with 70 seconds to go in the fourth quarter. The Cowboys took possession on their 29-yard line. On fourth down with 23 seconds remaining, Meredith hit an open Dan Reeves who beat out linebacker Chris Hanburger to score, making it 17-14.

I can remember my entire family yelling at the TV when this happened, a 36 yard play. It was the first time I ever saw the Cowboys come from behind to win a game.

:D They had to make sure we knew that Vigoda was still with us:

Dietrich was a mainstay of the show throughout its run, even making an appearance on Fish, the spinoff starring Abe Vigoda (who is still alive).

For some reason this is big news on CNN. The only thing I remember about her is Lovergirl, and mainly I remember hating it. And that she sounded a lot like Sheena Easton, but damn sure didn't look anything like her. Mostly hating it, though.

It is now (at 2:50 pm) on CNN's page. Drudge and Fox both have it.

Ya it's on the front page in the list on the left. Yesterday they had her pic with a link to that story. Also on their television channel (where I first heard about it) it was "breaking news" and they had several people calling in to report on it. It just seemed like an awful lot of coverage for someone of her stature.

CNN calls that "breaking news" and you bag on Fox? Not defending Fox but you can't tell me the other cable networks are better.

I bag on all of them, but Fox and MSNBC are both the same, just on either side of the spectrum. CNN isn't perfect, but they seem to attempt to stay as close to the middle as they can.
