The Ticket's response to The Freak appears to be to have Gordon on every show. I don't listen a lot, but I heard him on with the Hang Zone and the Hardline this week.

I listened a couple times in the afternoon this week on the way home. They seem to be pressing pretty hard but it was definitely listenable. The Hardline is unlistenable to me right now. They took my two least favorite hosts and paired them up. That being said, I still listen to the Musers on the way to work and an audiobook on the way home.

The Hardline chemistry is awful. Lots of Bob not saying anything or sounding lost during non-sports segments.

Interesting that Danny's no-compete was so much longer than Sirois. They both held the same position at the Ticket.

I wonder if the Dan & Jake rumor is just them trying to bump up their value when their contract is up. Many years ago, Bob and Dan were rumored to have been really close to leaving the Ticket. Apparently they backed out of the deal at the 11th hour. At the time I thought they were making a mistake to consider leaving. The fan loyalty is to the station, not necessarily the hosts. If they left to go to ESPN or the Fan they would have been placed in the same ranks as Ben & Skin. I feel the same about Dan & Jake. If they bolt for a big payday then I hope they sock 90% of the money away because that station isn't going to make a dent in the ratings long term. Those big contracts will be one and done.

The Freak just got TC for a weekend show. Game over for the Ticket.

I can finally make the announcement that I am going to be TC's co-host and we will both be broadcasting from our cars as we drive for Uber on weekends.

"Quinn Ewers is a first round draft pick caliber QB" is the hill Bob is going to die on.

They posted the ratings for 9/15-10/15 on 10/22. The numbers for both stations weren't any different then they had been in the months prior. It will be interesting to see this month's ratings now that the Freak has been around for a couple of months and had mike's face on a few billboards.

Evertime I switch over to the freak they are doing 'Mikes Lists' or another hypothetical.

I've tried listening to the non Ben and Skin shows and they're just boring.

Danny does not sound like he's comfortable speaking on air. For a spare weekend show it didn't matter, but it damn sure does Bob matter for weekdays.

There was plenty of "The Ticket should have paid them" drama on Twitter this week. Along with people pointing out that there are 2 stations gunning for the same audience with 1 person of color and 2 females out of around 25 hosts. And most of the white guys are well over 40. Other Twitter drama emerged over fans of the guy that makes Ticket-themed cartoons being really upset because the station posted a Facebook link to another creator's cartoon take on the Picks with Friends monkey discussion.

Husky Hugger to appear on the 3-7 show tomorrow. Wild times.

He’ll probably call in sick.

All of the Freak hosts say on Twitter that they aren't worried about ratings. Nothing says bullshit like lobbing up a half court shot at tip off.

It's possible I could care less about this, but not by much. If anything interesting happens I'm sure I'll read all about it on the socials.

I listened to the podcast on Spotify. I enjoyed it a lot. Laughed on several occasions. Expo even showed up to the remote. Most of it (the best segments) was reliving the Ticket times though, so it’s a one and done. Greggo sounds healthy and apologetic for his past. No potential for this show on a go forward basis. Danny took over the conversation a lot.

It's dry dock and this is the thinest b team ever. DJ and Eli's show name should be 'The interrupters'. I'll listen to Rogan this morning.

DJ seems to have a fairly quick wit. He's a keeper.
