Mine hit me about 2:00 am this morning. I barely remembered it until about 7:30 when Mrs Cle woke up the house with:
"WHAT THE FUCK, THIS IS RIDICULOUS!!! FLUSH THE DAMN TOILET JERK!" :D

Grabbed some leftover turkey and ham, slapped it on some wheat bread with swiss cheese and cheddar and made the most awesome grilled sammich ever. I should roast a turkey every week just for the sandwiches.

I fried a couple of turkeys again this year and I'm still not tired of it yet.

Dessert poots in general are underwhelming in and of themselves. That's why it is critical to mix in something like green been casserole during the holidays or you're justing setting yourself up for soundless air poofs--musky mothball odor at best, and sticky wipes.

What's so great about the fried turkey? It tastes just like a smoked or baked turkey. People act like the fried turkey is some kind of orgasmic food experience when it's really just a lazy way to cook a turkey.

I disagree on the taste, and absolutely disagree on the lazy cooking. I have baked, smoked and fried turkey myself... I promise you it is in no way the lazy way to cook turkey. Your wrong simply on the cleanup alone. Its messy! I agree it tends to get over hyped, but I enjoy it more fried than the other ways. that may be a helper in my fat ass. I think its why I don't get tired of it as soon as smoked or baked. I'd be glad to make you a sammich to help sway your opinion. :D

I've only had fried turkey a few times and it was damn good. Is it better than smoked or roast? That's subjective, but it's good enough not to be dismissed. The cooking time is quicker but I wouldn't necessarily call it easier.

The ex's family once fried a turkey they shot. They broke out the large blocks of lard. It was good, but it lose some turkey flavor and tasted like chicken.
I know they shot the turkey because the feathers and head were still on the front porch.
