for the wife. Well, thought about it is more like it and have decided we're gonna get it. The Shack called a few minutes ago and as soon as the wifey gets in from work we'll pick it up.

I've been wanting to get the wifey and Android phone for a while now but didn't really like what Sprint's had so far. A friend at work managed to pick an Evo up on launch day and he loves it. I played around with it and dig it too. I can't wait!

The Pre is awesome as always. I was hoping for some new hardware by now (I'm a Premiere customer with Sprint, I can upgrade every 12 months). HP just announced it is using WebOS exclusively on their smartphone line and that WebOS 2.0 will be out "later this year". One would assume 2.0 will be released on new hardware.

Until then I've got my Pre over clocked to 1.05 ghz and will oc it to 1.2 ghz as soon as the kernel is stable. It's like getting new hardware without actually getting new hardware.

Several guys that I work with have the Evo or whatever the T-Mobile equivalent that runs Windows is called. They all seem to like it and I've been pretty impressed. It does a lot of the stuff that you have to jail break an iPhone to accomplish. If I didn't hate Sprint so much, I would probably think about getting one.

I haven't had too many problems with Sprint in quite a while. They still screw up my bill every once in a while but it's not something to leave them over.

The Evo runs the Android OS. TMo is getting one of the Samsung Galaxy phones soon. Those look nice, but the Evo is gonna stay on top of the Android heap for a while. The thing is a beast, and HTC doesn't add too much crap over the original OS.

For shits n giggles I pulled up rr on it. Even though it's small, I can view and read the whole site without zooming. It's not a phone, it's a mini-slate.
