They're cool n shit, but if you've waited this long, wait for the 3G verison. Could use more memory if it's replacing an iPod , too.

as cool as the iphone is, it's waaaay out of my out of work ass price range. i'll just wait for the buggy ms copy to come out this year (you know it will). hopefully by this time next year, competition will make these things a bit more affordable.

Verizon already has a touch screen phone with a keyboard that opens up that looks as good as, if not better than the iPhone.

i'm sure the os isn't anywhere close to being as slick as apple's (but what is, really?)

i'm betting m$ has a 24/7 program running right now for "WinTouch". (c) ggammill, 2008.

Somebody splain this to an old goat.

When they go online, the speed reminds me of fucking dialup back in the 28.8 days. I've seen this in two different instanceseses. And no, I wasn't in Wise County either time I used one.

att's network is slow as fuck. it works best when you're in a hotspot the iphone can tap into.

So what is so great about 3G. I've done some research, but still can't figure out what mkes 3G a must have. My old phone didn't have it and it works fine. My new phone, that I lost, had it 3G and it worked fine too.

Real-world speeds of > 1Mbps vs. 150k or so for their 2G EDGE network.

3G iPhone:

$200 8gb
$300 16gb
gps built-in.

wow. i'm hoping sprint has been holding off announcing the price for the instinct to see what apple was going to do. most guesses i've read put the price at $250-$300, with the exception of bigboy's $189. hopefully they follow the $200 route.

Well I finally did it. I bought an iphone.

Called sprint and asked them to give the best deal possible on the Pre since I have been a customer for 10 plus year, and they couldn't or wouldn't so now I am one of the millions that is leaving Sprint every quarter.

Ordered it on-line so i don't have to deal with the hipsters at the apple store.

ps. Please don't forget that Michael Jackson was a child fucker.
