Wasn't trying to. That was more of a play by play account. I'm hardly a under the bus thrower person. I try to support my team as best I can, mostly by playing catcher to hide the fact that I can't play ball worth a crap.

In Grubes' defense, had he stopped those balls, he would've made sure the proper base was covered before throwing it over there.

And my glove wouldn't have mattered, I could have been using that giant glove at AT&T park in SF and it wouldn't have mattered. My reflexes have slowed to the point that I need a 30 second head start and a digitized map with an exact location of where the ball will be before I can field it cleanly, hence my retirement.
