All-Star Game watching party at my place!

Rangers sweep party at my house tonight!

You need to worry about getting swept by the stinkin' D-Rays.

Does he still start shivering in fear when he sees a jar of peanut butter? Wally may have scarred him for life.

Dang, I was hoping all the gay would wear off. Welp, get him a rainbow bandana and have his nails painted. Let him know you accept him for who he is.

You're gonna yell the first time Cap tries to throw out a runner at first from LF and overthrows it to Midland.

A game we were quite capable of winning, if memory serves me right.

C'mon, those pop flys were a good 20-30 feet in the air.

I was thinking more of the balls that magically got by grubes. 4 or 5 low bouncers in a row right at grubes, about 18" off the ground. Unfortunately, grubes' glove never went closer than 24" to the ground.

Which is why we need players with arms, not flippers.

Wasn't trying to. That was more of a play by play account. I offered nothing but love and encouragement to young gruber afterwards and even practiced with him picking up grounders during warmups in subsequent weeks. I also offered my glove to FC in exchange for the little league mitt he was using to play short with. You yelled a lot.

I'm hardly a under the bus thrower person. I try to support my team as best I can, mostly by playing catcher to hide the fact that I can't play ball worth a crap.

In Grubes' defense, had he stopped those balls, he would've made sure the proper base was covered before throwing it over there.

He brings up an excellent point.

And my glove wouldn't have mattered, I could have been using that giant glove at AT&T park in SF and it wouldn't have mattered. My reflexes have slowed to the point that I need a 30 second head start and a digitized map with an exact location of where the ball will be before I can field it cleanly, hence my retirement.

I think I can still play OF or 1B, but SS gets waaaaay too much action for my slow ass response time to a ground ball. me = failed.
