We had a make up game last night. They moved me to second and fielded every chance. We had a chance to make a double play, but the SS couldn't get the ball out of his glove fast enough. There is a weird rule this year. YOu can steal bases once the ball crosses the plate. So, if you have a catcher with his head up his ass, and letting balls pass him, you could be in trouble. We ulitmately lost to a good team, 10-15. Their infield was very solid and made some great snags.

Hope you guys can make it out to the next game. We could use some good looks.

They must have hit like me. Wait ...

Arlington has had the stolen base rule for a few years now. Doesn't happen as often as you think. Although I am officially credited with exactly one straight steal. Does make for some tricky attempts at the first-and-third double steal.

This year they've enacted a rule that if you hit the ball back at the pitcher, you're out. It's essentially the umpire's discretion but it has been used. Makes some people very angry.

back at the pitcher like in the face? I took one stright from the bat to my shin once, and had a dent in my leg..I still threw the guy out, so that rule is gay.

It's up to the umpire. Generally at the head or chest is automatic. But say if someone does it a couple times, he might get called out. The guy who used to pitch for us can't see much out of his right eye any more because of a shot back at him. They've tried everything, they banned all the 100+ bats, softened the balls, but people still keep getting hurt. There are idiots out there who get the banned bats and pay to have them painted like a legit bat. Next step is probably to install a net in front of the pitcher.

If a pitcher can't catch a ball with his teeth then fuck him.
