Sorry, I didn't mean that in a "how could you not understand it" way. I meant it in a "I've played all the games, done all the puzzles, seen all the videos, read wikipedia, and I still don't understand it" way.

I enjoy the glyph puzzle stuff, but the Desmond stuff is boring as hell. I like the whole Templar conspiracy thing. There was a set of DLC missions called the Da Vinci Disappearance that in the end gave you the latitude and longitude of a place in upstate New York. And any game that ends with you trying to kill the Pope can only be good.

But Signs still sucks.

I'll probably still go back for the glyphs, mainly because the little videos are intriguing and kinda creepy. But not I'm not collecting all the friggin' feathers.

Yeah, I think I found the feathers but only because it starts showing them on the map at some point. The dungeon stuff was fun. Can't remember if it's this one or Bros where you acquire Altair's armor, but I liked the process. I think in Bros you get the 'Armor of Brutus' or somesuch. You do get to fight through Vatican which is fun.

Altair's armor was in II, and finding all those seals was fun as hell. I got a used copy of Bros coming from Gamefly for $8. I'm looking forward to more ninja-like badassery.

When you get to start recruiting some of the extras get fun. When your assassins reach high levels you can call them to attack guards, even using an arrow storm. You just whistle and a arrows come flying in from off screen and kill them all. I found Rome more fun than the other cities from II.

I was almost let down by Revelations. It wasn't nearly as fun to explore as the previous two. The landmarks aren't recognizable so who cares about finding them. I traded it in after about two weeks.

In Bros you get some side missions from Da Vinici similar to the flying parts of II. But now the glider has firepower and you get to drive Da Vinci's tank. Good times. I liked the idea of reclaiming areas from the Borgias but it was pretty challenging. You could tell they were trying to add something other than just stealth killing style to the game with vehicle play. But in Revs they added Den Defense which absolutely blows. This was almost an ender for me with the game. It's basically a Real-Time-Strategy style bit where you place and command different types of soldiers during a siege. They forgot that anyone who plays an AC game hates RTS games. Those are for PC dorks.

MLB the Show '12 is the fucking balls. The gameplay is so fucking realistic. Sick game. Only on game 2 of franchise mode and it looks pretty complicated, which I like.

Supposedly gonna be the next big multiplayer boom bang kick slap!

A little disappointed with the edition I bought. I expected Profar and Olt to at least be on it. I guess it's just the 40 man roster. Darvish isn't on it, because he wasn't part of the MLB union when the game came out. Also, slightly disappointed with the 7 round entry draft, but I guess with only 2 minor league teams, you don't need that many. The gameplay is still sick though.

If you're out of warranty, Google "console repair" in your area before you send it to MS. I found a place in Bedford to fix my disc drive. Dropped it off one Saturday at 8am and they called an hour later to pick it up. Cost $80 I think.

Found a place in Plano and another in Rockwall. Looks cheaper than buying a new one.

Two days and $45 later, I have Not Red Ring of Death.

Finished Batman Arkham Asylum last week and now I'm on Arkham City. These are some badass games.

After taking a couple of months off I'm back to Skyrim. This game will never end.

Just finished Arkham City. These are nothing but button mashers for me as I lack the coordination to pull off combos and/or use gadgets appropriately but it is fun as hell. Pretty much every villain ever appears in the game. And they actually make Robin look bad-ass. It will seem really monotonous, but work to find all the riddles/trophies as the Riddler levels that these unlock are really fun.

Only played New Vegas for an hour or two but am enjoying it so far. I'm so used to auto-aiming/lock-on systems of other games that shooting geckos and mantises...mantisses...mantii? is pretty hard. I feel like I have a bunch of stuff like a pistol and/or laser gun but have not found out how to arm myself with them yet.

I did all the Riddler stuff on Arkham Asylum. It wasn't so bad. Only getting all the teeth were a pain in the ass. I love the wide open aspect of Arkham City so much more. I'm focusing on taking down Zsasz right now.

After playing Batman and seeing those ships, what I want Ezio, et al, to have is one of those grappling guns.

Wait until you get the upgrade for it that lets you shoot up past the ledge and keep gliding.

There was a game a few years ago called Just Cause or somesuch that had a similar Batmanesque grappling gun but it also gave you a retractable parachute that could be deployed and retracted infinitely many times. You'd have a bunch of Central American military types chasing you and send your Jeep flying off a cliff. You'd deploy your parachute float away as they plummeted to their deaths thousands of feet below. Good times. Only played the demo as the game otherwise seemed boring as hell. Your job was to create as much chaos as possible to attract attention. Could never figure out how the story flowed at all. Fun in concept, but otherwise it were crap.

The game ends when you turn it off.

Now that's a final solution I can get behind.
