I played Ep 2 of The Walking Dead game yesterday. It's a little glitchy at times but not bad. You get to make some harder decisions this time. The little girl was pretty traumatized by my decisions. It was good enough to get me to play Ep 3.

There is no way I could harm that beautiful butt chin.

Finished all of the Walking Dead game. It's worth it. Sure, it's more of a choose your own adventure than a real game, but it's a good story, and pretty damn sad at the end.

On a related note, I see where Angry Birds "Trilogy" was released for Xbox for FORTY FUCKING DOLLARS! 3 games that cost $3 total on iOS or webOS (free on Android w ads). How the hell they came up with a $40 price tag is anyone's guess.

I think WD runs for 400 MS points per episode which translates to about $25. Not sure, but the first episode might still be free, so you can try it without buyer's remorse. If you like it, the rest is more of the same, but the story gets deeper and snowballs into a world of shit.

Finished Far Cry 3 last night. Good game. Kinda hard at first, but a lot of fun once you become more badass. It's a good combo of stealth play and total carnage. The ending missions are complete batshit and a lot of fun.

The Kinect has been updated to capture 1080p video, as well as detect many more points on the body for more accurate recognition. It’s also better at recognizing voice input and gestures, and it can even read your heartbeat while you’re excercising.

Been playing Lego LoTR with Tit Jr. At one point, you get to be a walking tree and kick some ass.

I've been playing The Last of Us for the last few days. It basically the video game version of The Road. It's serious and dark but not quite so Road dark. It's pretty great. Pretty good little story so far, I'm not all the way through it yet. The look and artwork of the game is top notch. Gameplay is solid. The controls are a little wonky and take some getting used to but aren't too bad. Buy it now or what for the GOTY edition and buy it then but buy it at some point. It's PS3 only btw.

I need to go back and play RDR again...

Despite having one of the greatest endings ever, I found RDR pretty boring. Some of these games are going too heavy on story and light on gameplay. I'm finishing Mass Effect 3 right now and it's the same. Too many cutscenes and dialog trees. I like a good story, but if I wanna watch a movie, I'll hit the Redbox.

RDR is definitely repetitive, as those types of games can be. I just really dug the scenery. And I'm pretty sure the first time I saw a bear I peed a little. I had just entered a new woodland area. It was getting dusk. I was just looking around not doing much outside of exploring (maybe gathering a plant or something). I turned and about 20 feet away was a bear, silent, running full speed right at me. I yelped and completely froze for a second, then in sheer terror just started mashing buttons furiously and mindlessly as my brain had locked and I couldn't remember how to engage the bullet time to shoot the bastard. I was dead a second later with one swipe of his paw.

While I understand the complaint about the repetitiveness of RDR (and GTA for that matter), it's never bothered me too much. They do a good job of avoiding frustrating missions, which is my major complaint about most games. Assassin's Creed gets that way where it's impossible to do a mission on your first try at times. Basically you have to get a little ways in, die or get caught, then start over with the new knowledge where things are. You repeat this process until you actually make it through. You aren't able to learn while you go. Rockstar generally avoids this. By biggest complaint about RDR was how far away a lot of the missions were. I felt the cutscenes weren't too long and they were interesting but then I had to ride for 20 minutes just to get to a shootout.

Side note, if you are looking for a decent cheap game, download State of Decay. It's $20. Yes, it's a zombie game but it's a good. It's open-world (but fairly small, $20 though). But has a lot of decision based play where your actions have consequences. If you stop save someone they join your group and you can play as them and they may have different abilities etc that you can utilize. Pretty hard though, I haven't made much headway in it.

If you don't like frustrating games, avoid Dark Souls.
