Hence why I was hauling ass.

what did you do with those slightly wet panties? did you have to hide them from mother? does mother punish little boys who wet their panties?

Me too; whatever story he comes up with is going to be better than any of my responses.

Just got back from the trail. Went 21 miles, could have gone more. I think I'm over the hump now. I just need to get my legs strong enough to where I can stay in the higher gears.

A park employee was mowing today, and I yelled "thank you!" to him as I pedaled by.

I saw one rabbit, one deer, one squirrel, one man rider, two granny lesbian riders, and one gorgeous brunette runner who smelled really good even though she had already run 5 miles. Knockers.

Hoob.

There's not much better on a long ride than riding past a woman who smells great.

Of course the good smelling female runner is thinking to herself, "man that dude smells like ass".

Since I had to visit Fannin County today, I took the bike and swung by Bonham State Park, which has a DORBA trail. Spent an hour and a half riding, enjoyed it a lot.

I hate getting old. Some of the climbs that I did two years ago are impossible now. Nearly fell down one hill backwards, saved my life by grabbing hold of a tree. Didn't use pedal clips, good move.

I like this trail because it is easy, but it is in need of maintenance, some parts are really bad. About 30 seconds in, some vines caught my handlebars and threw me down. And there is a 100% chance that I have poison ivy somewhere on my body. The park rangers said the local cyclists have been working on building a trail somewhere else. Maybe I should spend $35 and join DORBA so I can help.

On my last ride, I damaged my mountain bike and had to take it to the shop.

So, out comes the cycle fag road bike. Went 17 miles, was an easy ride. My usual road that goes out into the country is under construction, so I had to just ride around town.

Went through a mall on the north side of town had "No handgun" signs at the entrances. Yes, I was carrying mine on my bike as usual. The signs were not regulation and not legally binding, but the message is not lost on ol' Hoob. I don't have to shop there.

Mrs. Hoob has knee surgery tomorrow, so I probably won't be riding for a few days.

You were wearing your gun on a bike ride? What, to protect from the roving bmx gangs?

Actually I wouldn't mind carrying a handgun on rides, drivers would pay more attention if you fired a warning shot across their grill.

I'm going to carry C4 with me on my rides now. I just dare a driver to cut me off or call me Lance Armstrong again.

I once had a bad experience with snow monkeys riding trick bikes. That's why I do it.

You cycle fags will love this article from local DMN pollyanna Jaqueline Floyd.

My favorite part:

"Good grief, is it that bad out there? Maybe: Both sides report frequent display of the middle-finger flip-off, which I consider a troubling and indecorous symptom of rage and contempt."

“Tell them to get out of their car and walk or cycle! Perhaps they wouldn’t be so obese and ugly.”

Sorry, but that has yet to work for Walt.

it is pretty fucking easy for us cyclists. Stay off busy streets. I saw an idiot on Coit just north of 635 during rush hour last week. *I* wanted to run his retarded ass over.

My favorite cyclists are the ones that think 121 is still a seldom traveled 2 lane blacktop road out in the middle of nowhere.

Newsflash for cyclefags: 121 is a major highway now. Please take your rainbow lycra to a road less traveled.

Sometimes there simply aren't any alternatives. I spent a half hour yesterday on the Gmap Pedometer site and Google's 'Street View' trying to figure out the route from my office to north of 635 that was the least like Death Race 2000 and there's no way for me to do it without crossing some seriously busy roads. Here is the best I could come up with.

oh I know that. I rode my bike to and from work two weeks ago on a dare.
(The mountain bike, not the road bike)
Even on sidewalks and grass, it was a serious challenge.
I'm not necessarily dissing people who have no other alternative. It looked obvious to me this dude was just riding to be riding, not to get from point A to point B.

Yea, if I'm out riding I'm usually with a group. The only time I ride solo on open roads is either early in the morning on a weekend or when I'm sticking entirely to back roads. And I NEVER wear my iPod on the open roads.

Got the mountain bike out of the shop today, rode 12 miles on the trail. Was wonderful, and I'm gonna go throw Mrs. Hoob down in a few minutes.

Left a little earlier today so I could do the entire 21 miles on the Greenbelt. It took about 5 miles to get loose. After that, I was fine.

I saw a snake, two rabbits, a deer, an armadillo, 4 dogs, and maybe 10 people. Unlike yesterday, I didn't run over the snake with my bike. No, it wasn't a corra.

By the time I neared the end, it was raining on three sides of me.

Being really saddle sore, I'm going to skip a day of this. I can't decide what level of shape I'm in. I'm past the couch potato stage but not in that great of shape yet.

I like living near the Lake Ray Roberts Greenbelt. I am living the good life.

Hoob.
