30 years ago this evening I married Mrs. Ich back in Tennessee. In retrospect, it's the smartest decision I ever made.

Had great weekend with her at Rick's Chop House in McKinney, diamond earring shopping on Saturday And having her earn them on Saturday night!

I do love that woman so and marvel at the fact that she is still willing to put up with me year in and year out. (Trust me, I'm not that easy to live with at times)

So I'm beginning to suspect that Mrs. Ich has been taking Cialis for the past many years... I saw on the commercial that one of the side effects is difficulty in swallowing... It just explains so much.

I'm getting old, becoming more set in my ways and I don't care.

I was reading online that Frank Ocean had a stellar performance last night on the VMAs. He sang a song "Thinking about you" with just an acoustical guitar accompanying him. When I heard him with this ultra-high pitched voice, I couldn't tell if it was a Gordo bit or what. Seriously? That was considered good? Kids these days.

No hot wheels track was damaged in this incident.

As an educator, I have witnessed several male on female paddlings. My response to this incident is, Big Fucking Deal.

Speaking of that, e-mail me if you want video of said spankings.

The Ichabod family mecca to the AAC to see Trans Siberian Orchestra is this afternoon. Meeting Ichette in Irving for lunch, then on to see Angus and Al wailing on Les Pauls whilst mini skirted, go go boot wearing blondes whip their hair on stage. Good times.

Had Christmas eve dinner for the 13th year in a row at a local Chinese restaurant in McKinney. It was bitter sweet this year as Ichette was not with us. She's officially an adult living on her own, working her job and paying her bills like the rest of us... Which is what we raise them to do do, but it does make one nostalgic for the early years when we're apart.

Ichette is driving up to celebrate Christmas this morning and will leave this afternoon.

Merry Christmas to all my forum brethren. Though we don't seem to get together and insult each other the way we used to, I feel the same type of nostalgia towards this dysfunctional family as well. :)

Mrs. Ich was promoted to VP of Finance of her company yesterday! Very proud of her as she's worked so hard to earn it. Probably won't be long now before she starts shopping for a trophy husband!

Well, the foundation repair crew was out this week and managed to re-level my garage from its 45 degree angle. Closed up the crack on the side of the garage and did a great job on the mortar work. Only took 9 pilings to get back to normal. Though it wasn't inexpensive, it wasn't near as much as I thought it would be.

For those who haven't heard, Ichette is now formally engaged. Her young man approached me about three weeks ago and asked me for permission to propose! Even though Ichette has never set the bar terribly high for acceptable boyfriends I've got to say I do like this guy. He's in his early 30s and never been married, so I did quiz him to ensure that he knew what he was getting into by marrying into my family! Told him I didn't have a lot of money for a dowry, so he was welcome to root around in the boxes in the garage and take whatever he wanted. Looks like they are planning a wedding for October 2015, so I've got 12 months to get to an acceptable weight for pictures!

To no one's surprise I'm jobless again. I was working on a 1 year employment contract which was not renewed. Got the offices built and the DC set up and was no longer needed. Not terribly concerned other than the timing as we are in the 4th quarter where little hiring activity will occur. For now I'm living the life of a "kept" man. Oh the degrading things that woman makes me do at night!

Seventeen year old houses require upkeep. The roof has been replaced 2 years ago, the foundation was leveled last week and now it appears to be time for a new furnace. Had our heating system PM'd yesterday and was informed that carbon monoxide was detected in the downstairs unit. The good news is I'm out of work so I'm available to be at home on Monday when they install the new unit! Isn't that fortunate.

In recognition of my daughter's impending nuptials in a year and the fact that I need to look sexy in my tux, I have signed up for hot room yoga in McKinney. I figure these old bones need to concentrate on my core in order to remain flexible enough to chase Mrs. Ich through the house. Plan on taking the 60 day challenge save when they are closed for Thanksgiving.

Taking my first class this morning... Pray for meh :prayer:

I'm hoping you didn't let him get his hands on any of your slightly used hot wheels track.

I am old enough to remember when smoking on airplanes was allowed. In fact, I remember when smoking was allowed most anywhere. As a teenager I used to smoke in movie theaters... In the "smoking section," which was usually forward and to the left. I used to seek out girls in high school who smoked because that usually meant they drank, which meant they gave it up early and often. Many fond memories of weekend love affairs set up by Winston and Marlboro! Can't stand to be around smoking of any form now. It's just a flat ass nasty habit.

Halloween is tomorrow night. I bought 4 bags of candy just in case, but I bet the mommies and daddies won't let their little demons trick or treat at the neighborhood curmudgeon's house. I'll probably end up sending the excess candy to Mrs. Ich's office.

Hot room yoga is growing on me. I'm starting to understand the basic moves and I'm surprised that I still have a lot of flexibility though I definitely have room for improvement. Also, there are a lot of MILFs there wearing yoga pants. Today marks my 5th day in a row. I'm only marginally sore.

Today marks day 13 for yoga. Still enjoying it though I am continually amazed at how totally saturated in sweat I am after one hour. Definitely have to change shirts to drive home. The ladies don't seem to out and out sweat the way I do. I like poses that have us on the floor laying on our stomachs. In a room full of mirrors I get to see a lot of cleavage mashed on the mats. I have started back on the weights as well. Worked out a plan for 4 day per week. Got to get into wedding shape.

Mrs. Ich and Ichette picked out a venue for Ichette's wedding yesterday. It's in Corinth. We're scheduled for next October. Weddings cost a lot of money.

Got an interview tomorrow for a distribution gig. Pray for meh. :prayer:

A lot of chicks get butt sweat real bad (good?) when they work out. Usually it seems to flare out in arches over the top curvature of each buttock and trickle down the length of their crack forming a sweat thong. I'm not opposed to the look.

(Using my best Jason Garrett voice) My interview yesterday went well. It went well in all three phases of the interview. I executed well.... Won't hear back until the end of next week. Pins and needles. Pins and needles.

Ichette is quickly becoming a bridezilla. She's after her poor young man to be involved in all the planning. I had to sit her down and explain that this was her day to be a princess and that us guys are really only interested in what time we're supposed to show up at the church. Her young man now loves me.

The mighty Vols have their homecoming game tomorrow hosting Auburn. Don't think the alumni are going to be pleased by the end of the game. This has been a brutal schedule to play this year.

Location: these things are good....
Was it a behavioral interview? Man, those can be tough if the interviewer is skilled.

Day 18 for Yoga. Had a pretty good little session this morning. Particularly pleased with my camel! Also, went to the gym to lift afterwards. Lifting post yoga is awesome as I'm certainly warmed up and ready to go.

The mighty Vols got their asses kicked as expected. Only they lost even worse than I had imagined. Have Kentucky and Vandy left on the schedule which they'll probably split. No bowl eligibility this year which is a blessing. I've never understood why 500 teams want to go to bowl games to get their asses handed to them.

Counting down the days until I hear about my job situation. Thursday can't get here fast enough.

Saturday the Hoobstress and I got in a conversation about yoga. I had already forgotten the names of most of the poses, and it's only been a year since I last practiced.
