Tdub, do you know about Jonathan Coultan? He's been around for a few years. I think the first I thing I heard from him was his cover of "Baby Got Back". Last year he had an album produced by the Jon with glasses from TMBG. It's indie geek rock, and I dig it.

Almost forgot: JoCo has a song called "Nemesis" that I swear sounds like it came out of the prez's catalog. It would have fit right in on A Comfortable Pair.

Cool! I hoped you'd like it. His 2 albums are strong to quite strong. The "Thing a Week" compilations can be iffy. The story behind them is when he decided to make a living making music, he spent a year doing one song a week. Some are good, some aren't. Of course, some, like "Baby Got Back" are epic.

I listened to "Baby Got Back" then started on his new album. I didn't realize he wrote "Still Alive" from Portal. That's kinda brilliant. I get a TMBG/Ben Folds vibe from him, which is good in both cases.

I didn't know the story behind "Still Alive" until recently. I thought he just wrote a cool song about a cool game. Last week I stumbled across this and was like oh oh oh oh oh.
