Well, after 10 1/2 years the wifey's tenure at the dump in Lewisville is finally over. They've had a complete overhaul on the way they do their data entry, requiring her to work hours that are incompatible with a normal life. I blame Obama.

I'll have to wait another 4 years to right this travesty and vote Republican, but in the meantime if anyone has a lead on position with a good company shoot me a pm.

I've already spent our nest egg on leather bound bibles, payments to Robert Tilton and half of Valero's inventory of scratch of tickets. We will be fine because the lord will provide.

The company that the wifey worked for is pretty big. The biggest benefit was the insurance. We paid around $85/wk for family coverage. The benefits weren't the best but the premiums were pretty good.

Our company had our "re-up" insurance meeting today. Of course premiums are going up. Turns out I'll be paying about $1k/mo for family. Fuck you, Obama. And fml. :dep:

:babyarm: Nothing changed on our HSA. In fact our right wing CFO said nothing will change at least for a few years and even then it wasn't much.

We have an HSA plan. I'm thinking about doing it but goddam it's expensive up front. I know in the long run it will end up being cheaper but it seems like unless you already have money this thing will eat you alive.

Expensive in what way, I didn't have to pay anything to start?
I get $500 a year as a single guy in my account to cover my healthcare costs. Some annual things are always paid for like getting a physical ever year. I do have a high deductible($1500) so if something bad happens I have to come up with a $1000 + the $500 I'm already getting.

No copays on dr visits and I think also scripts. Between 3 people that can add up quick. ASFAIK even a physical isn't free up front (not sure though).

If the premium wasn't so goddam high it wouldn't be such a hard decision.

If she can 10-key C++, then maybe.
