These are all meh to meh+ at this point. Anything that I enjoy watching, I usually watch live.

Everything on my list I usually watch live but DVR anyway in case something catches on fire. I've DVR'd shows before with the intension of one day bingeing, but I never do and they end up getting deleted.

Comedy

The Last Man on Earth
Brooklyn 99
Mindy Project

Drama:

I watched the 1st 2 episodes of Better Call Saul. The rest are piling up. I'll probably binge at some point. As much as I loved BB a little Saul went a long way. Maybe that's why it hasn't been a must watch.

Gangland Undercover- saw the 1st installment of a 6 part series about a dude that infiltrated the Vagos MC in a hotel. It was pretty good.

No cable=no dvr. I have hulu so most of what I want to watch is available. AMC is apparently only allowing Sling to have the latest episodes in it's VOD library which is bullsh, but better than nothing.

:babyarm: It doesn't look great to me. Maybe because I liked Saul in smaller doses. If people are still raving over it after a couple of seasons, I'll binge it.

I also DVR "30 for 30" and "How the Universe works", but those aren't weekly shows.

It has really started to pick up momentum over the last 3 episodes.

I'm digging it.

I watch Hulu mostly through the Roku 3 and rarely have issues. It has flaked out on me from time to time when watching through the Xbox.

I've never used a 3, but everything I read says there's really no point in getting the others. If you look around you can find new ones for $80 or less. Sling TV is running a special: $50 with a 3 month pre paid subscription (or a free Stick)

Rumor is the Roku 4 is very close to being announced. A couple of weeks ago Roku filed patent papers on a redesigned, cheaper 3, fueling the speculation that the 4 is on the way. Supposedly the 4 will handle 4k which will be great, seeing as I just bought a 4k tv.

I dvr everything I watch regularly. The only things I watch live are random channel surfings. For the Walking Dead this requires social media lockdowns as there are too many Gams out there live tweeting whatever they see in front of them. Most shows though I watch when I have the time rather than right after they air.

Let's move on to the 2nd part of this discussion: What dumb shows does your wife DVR?

Big Bang Theory
Girls
Ghost Adventures

My wife is too busy doing laundry and cooking dinner to sit and watch television.

Me:

Modern Family
Amazing Race (yes, I still watch it)
60 Minutes
The Daily Show

Wife:

Fixer Upper
Bachelor/Bachelorette
Gilmore Girls (she's seen them all, records 10 episodes a week, might watch 2 on the weekend, all of that despite the fact that I keep reminding her that the whole series is on Netflix)

Taken from the Series Manager from our DVR:

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills
Toned Up
Keeping up with the Kardashians
Sister Wives
Vanderpump Rules
Bachelor
Bachelorette
Bachelor in Paradise
Bachelor Pad
The Real Housewives of Orange County
Pretty Little Liars
Flipping Out
The Voice
The Real Housewives of New Jersey
Below Deck
Southern Charm
The Real Housewives of Melbourne

About a month ago, I made her clean out all her shit that doesn't come on anymore and I guess this is what was left. She doesn't pay attention when she watches most of these, but I don't know how she finds the time. She works 100 times as hard as I do.

I wonder how the show will be from this point. Storywise, they're through 3 books and those were awesome, but books 4 and 5 aren't as interesting.

We need Fruitdog to chime in.

:babyarm: 4 and 5 were a little bit of a chore to read. Maybe they'll change things up on the show for the better but I doubt it. It will still be stop down TV but I don't see how it gets better than it is now.

The first 4 episodes have been leaked. I haven't watched or read spoilers (and I haven't read the books anyway), but I hear they are diverging from the books quite a bit.

I remember so little of books 4 and 5 that I don't think I'll notice if they diverge. I liked last night's episode.

Daredevil is great and violent. A guy got his head crushed in a car door in the last episode I watched and before that a dude impaled himself in the eye. On purpose. After he beat a man to death with a bowling ball.
