My bet is the dude that cut his hand off rounded up the zombies in the van he stole and drove them to the camp. What better way to get revenge for being abandoned and left for zombie food?
zombies love road trips.

That burred bitch taking a pickaxe to her dead wife-beating husband scene was pretty kick ass.

It's interesting that the first time they reach a safehouse, everyone immediately gets shitfaced.

I missed last nights episode and they aren't replaying it until Friday. I can't find the full episode on Hulu. Any where else I can watch it?

Halloween 2011! That is such bullshit. Why would you risk your audience losing interest after building such momentum?

Watched the pilot last night. It was solid. I don't understand how the black dude had a chance to kill his wife and get away with it, yet he couldn't pull the trigger.

I give it a B. Worse than the Sopranos, but better than Spin City after Michael J Fox left.

Okay, I just fell in love with this show all over again. Eviscerating zombies, are you kidding me? This show is so awesome!

I'll still watch every week but I'm not loving Walking Dead. I thought the finale was kinda bad and it doesn't seem that much better this season. The decisions these people make makes it hard to buy that they've survived this long. I mean it's bad enough that the writers come up with this zombie herd that appears from nowhere but do they also have to make the characters make such poorly thought out choices as well? At least give them some common sense. Also, two conversations with God at the altar in one episode, really? The acting... meh. Where's the church getting power from to play that bell?

You're looking for realism in a zombie show? If I have a problem with the show, it's not enough zombies.

I'm looking for people to make logical decisions. They're still people even if the world is filled with zombies. You can create tension without having the characters make dumb decisions. I'm also looking for the writers to put a little thought into their story and not be so damn lazy. Several hundred zombies come walking down a road that these people JUST drove down? Also, why the fuck are they driving down the interstate anyways? An electric church bell keeps ringing and the entire country has been without power for who knows how long? Also, it's pretty easy to reassemble a field stripped glock, way to reinforce gender stereotypes, lazy ass writers. If this was FX then that's one thing but it's AMC, I've come to expect more from them.

The girl wandering off was bad too. I just don't buy that, more laziness. Also taking the boy with you on the search party, really? These might be the worst collection of parents in TV. They should have been the first people eaten.

The zombie horde was weird because it took so long for them to notice it. It's like they didn't notice 200 zombies coming until they were 30 ft away.

The church bells were probably hooked up to some apocalypse plan backup generator. All churches have those, right?

The thing about the chick and the gun bugged me, not because of the stereotype, but because she's a badass with a gun in the comics, like sniper shit. I hope they don't change that about her.

Maybe her dad took her deer hunting and just never taught her about hand guns.

From what I've heard about the comic it gets really dark and possible bad depending on who you talk to. How far have you gotten? I've read about going to a prison and possibly some serial killer or something.

Also, I know "it's just Zombies so go with it" but with the way zombies feed how do new zombies get made? It seems like there isn't much left after the zombies are done eating their prey. All zombie flicks seem to do this not just walking dead.

Just finished episode 1. I still don't understand how anyone would choose to die when there is still a chance of getting through it, but I guess we've had that issue recently. I didn't like the end of last season. I dug this episode, but I do agree that they drove to that stop and a bunch of slow walking zombies make it shortly after? Wasn't there an issue last season when Darrel's brother got left on top of a building? Did they resolve that? Now he's out saving kids and Jean Jacques Taylor? I almost threw up twice, but that may have been from the fair food I had today.

There's like 90 issues and I've read 80 or so of them. I read them in chunks because, like the show, they can get talky. The prison is a huge chunk of the story. The serial killer not so much. There's a big mean nasty villain, and if the show is smart, they make him the biker dude chained to the top of the building.

Outside of the first half of last season it doesn't sound like they are following the comic books, is that the case?

Pretty much. There's no CDC or Mexican homies caring for the elderly in the comics. And the comics are REALLY dark. They're not afraid to kill off characters you like in nasty ways.

I'm ok with some deaths, but they need to meet some more people before that happens. It's already down to 12 people as is.

The farmhouse from next week's preview is in the comics and they join up with some people there. The farm people are more dumb people though.

Weren't the zombies walking the opposite direction? If they weren't they could always have come out of the woods and turned to walk through the cars looking for orts.

My main criticism is the show is VERY (and by VERY, I mean EXTREMELY) predictable, but they make up for it with black bile filled zombie guts, boom headshots and decapitations.

Let me guess, they're religious nut jobs that believe if they pray to God and live righteous and holy lives he will protect them from the zombies. Ugh, I hope they all get eaten post haste.

That's not it, so fuck it:

SPOILERS FOR COMIC NERDS

One of their own is a zombie and they keep him locked in the barn, hoping for a cure. Naturally, people get careless and you can guess the rest.
