After watching the premiere episode of Walking Dead last night I've determined the following:

Rick needs to die. He has to be the most annoying "hero" ever.
Carl apparently hit puberty during the rerun season. It'll be interesting to see if he pursues his crush on Beth.
The special effects team should be fired.
The survivors are in desperate need of a "Hot."
My DVR reveals that AMC is running far too many commercials.

I liked it and I'm not ashamed to admit that I like Rick. I liked his storyline in this one and I hope they pursue more of the darker stuff like that that's in the comics. The dude who plays Carl is aging too fast for the storyline. I never liked D'angelo much so he could have died for all I care. They telegraphed that other dude's fate though. I'm glad it's back. I'd much rather complain about this than Dexter. The Governor didn't die last season, did he?

I liked it but I'm not as excited about it as I used to be. That might be BB withdrawal and knowing that it'll be a while til something on TV tops that. I liked all the gross stuff. The Rick stuff was just ok.

The Eastern European Winona Ryder in Bettlejuice lady was something out of Red Dead Redemption.

Well, subtlety was never the show's strongest element.

I think Carl is baiting the walkers. He wants his dad to return to his old ways and be the sheriff again and he wants to kill again. He had that look at the end when he stared at them through the fence.

Also, we see the bait being put out at night and the next thing we see is Carl basically oversleeping.

But you don't think he burned the bodies? It would be pretty tough for him to drag two grownups outside. I thought they were making it seem like the same person burned the bodies and fed the zombies, but maybe not.

I think Diello is onto something...

The Governor is sneaky

I think Carol is being set up to die at the end of this season. She's been extremely annoying these 1st three episodes. Teaching kids knife skills on the down low, encouraging a daughter to kill her zombie dad, going outside the fence alone, killing 2 sick people to protect the group, etc (dunno if that last part is actually true, but for the sake of my argument, let's go with it.)

The writes did a really good job of making both Dale and Andrea so fucking annoying that we were cheering for their deaths. Seems like they're doing that to Carol now.

She'd do anything for the group, so I figure her for the two burning bodies as well. Darrell could do a lot better.

Hershell is a goner this season. If Captain Trips doesn't get him, a zombie will. Probably the one in the bear trap that he told Carl not to kill.

Yeah, that scene was an obvious setup for future disaster. There just wasn't any reason to NOT kill the damn thing.

SPOILER ALERT for Tonight's Episode...

Carol should have blown Rick's damn head off and returned to the prison alone.

I predict she runs into the Governor and comes back to wreak havoc on the prison with a bunch of trained killers.

I agree with Rick. She doesn't get to decide by herself, who dies.

If she's covering for someone, that's another story.

Did you guys see the zombies? They walked around and were scary and stuff.

Not as scary as that virus that gives you red eye.

If Herschel didn't get it last night, he may be sticking around a while. Which means more long, drawn out speeches in every day conversation.

Carl must have splooged a half dozen times while using the AR-15 on the Zombies.

Will be interesting to see how Darrel reacts to finding out Rick sent Carol away.

I was thinking the same thing about Carl having a blast shooting zombies. Throwing his dad the extra clip was a little hokey though.

Have matches and lighters disappeared in the apocalypse? Seems like when the zombies are all grouped together you could just douse em with lighter fluid and light em up. I don't think it would get hot enough to melt a chain link fence.

I predict Carol will hook up with the Governor, fuck him then slit his throat like she told Andrea to do last year. Speaking of which, does anyone miss Andrea? Me neither.

If you set zombies on fire, you don't get dead zombies, you get zombies on fire. A bunch in hole on fire, like they had last season, is ok. But with advancing zombies, you are better off if they're not on fire.

Then you have Republicans.

If they're advancing I agree, but if they're all just pinned on a fence then burn em the hell up! They don't appear to feel pain or recognize when they're in mortal danger so the fire wouldn't even bother them until their brains melted.

Okay Walking Dead is starting to pick up steam... Next week looks like a "Can't Wait" episode. Finally introduced a new Hot and she turns out to be a lipstick lesbian... Ich is pleased.
