For those of you that didn't get to see it. It ended spectacularly with Conan strapping on a Gibson Les Paul and playing Free Bird along with Billy Gibbons, from ZZ TOP, and Will Ferrall handling the lead vocals rather badly, but making up for it by pulling out his cow bell :)

Nice finale.

His last couple of weeks were pretty good. Conan's an acquired taste. If he had been given the same amount of time to fine tune Tonight as he was given with Late Night, he might have made it. He was a little too different from Leno to keep his audience and not different enough from Letterman to steal his. I don't get how Leno drew the numbers he did against Letterman. Does anyone under 50 find his safe humor that funny?
