Dell Mini 9 Intel Atom N270 8.9in Netbook (1GB/4GB SSD/Linux/4-Cell) $199 Free Shipping

it comes with Ubuntu Linux version 8.04.1, which i have never worked with. How friendly is ubuntu for a non-technical user? I am thinking of getting this as a gift for my dad who is very very non-technical.

Why don't you just get him a speak and spell? Spend some money and get him something decent. Do you ration your toilet paper squares as well? I never knew you were this cheap.

I don't hate you. I'm one of the few who have always said "not that bad" about you. Just not sure why all of the sudden you get so nervous about a $25 purchase.

If all he's going to do is browse the web a little and check email then this is fine. That Netbook won't run Crysis, though.
