Other than Camp Meat Flap, do any of you camp? And I'm talking like weekend camping, a few hours drive, state parks, etc. I've been to Meridian, Dangerfield, and a few others. Any recommendations?

Davy Crockett is nice if you like gargantuan pine trees. Arkansas is good if you like mountains.

This area is chock full of campsites. What did you have in mind?

Cleburne State Park is really nice and close.

I've been to Ray Roberts a bunch of times. You can get the sissy camping sites with electricity and water connections, or you can get sites with nothing. The spots near the boat dock are good this time of year. You have decent fishing and at night you still get a breeze.

btw I have refined my technique and can't wait to camp again now with even more shanty.
