Watching Prez interact with his students makes me cringe.

I loved seasons 1 and 2, but when they were writing/filming those seasons, I don't think they had any idea that they would be taking this thing to where they took it in season 3 and 4. This shit might be my favorite show ever.

I've got seasons 3 and 4 sitting around somewhere. A while back I went on a week and a half marathon of 2-3 episodes a night and watched season 1 & 2, and half of 3 before I just got burnt out. Maybe it's time to dig those back out, all I've seen posted in this thread are how great those last 2 seasons are.

The last season is season 5 and I haven't gotten there yet.

It's insane. I know there was never a main character, but McNutty was the closest thing to it in the first couple of seasons. Through 7 episodes of season 4, he's got like 5 minutes of screen time tops.

Dumbass Bubs.

Damn, Michael would have been my last guess of the 4 kids to turn to slinging.

I'm talking about when they first introduced the 4 kids. This has been coming for about 6-7 episodes. Ever since his stepdaddy got back into the scene.

It was locked in when he turned down the "back to school" money in one of the early episodes.

I wonder how long it took to film season 4. My wife and I both noticed Dukie, Randy and Namond had aged quite a bit over the course of the season. Namond mostly in his face, but the other two looked like they grew quite a bit.

I felt the worst for dookie and randy. I didn't want to see the biggest punk of the 4 get the only ticket out of the streets.

Early season 5 thoughts:

What the fuck is McNutty doing?

Michael having 2nd thoughts about this lifestyle?

Snoop has grown on me quite a bit. Wife still hates her.

Seriously, I don't give a fuck about these journalists. Dude is obviously making up the story about the kid at the O's game. Don't care.

Also, McNutty told Bunk and Freamon that "this game's rigged". That's the same thing Boadie told McNutty about dealing. I usually don't catch those kind of things until I read them afterwards, but I caught that one on my own. :biteme:

I think D'Angelo said the same thing to Bodie in season one.

Ever notice Michael Phelps bears a strong resemblance to Nick from the docks? And he's from Balmer.

I hope you are not reading this thread if you don't like spoilers.

Prop Joe :( :( :(

Didn't see that one coming. Well, until Marlo walked into the room. Fucking Cheese. How the hell did he get back in this show anyway? He practically disappeared for Season 3 and 4, then he comes back to give up Butchie and his uncle. This show is getting hard to watch with all the deaths of characters I like and Jimmy/Freamon's bullshit. Not to mention the newspaper shit is still boring.

So Chris, Snoop and Michael are all shooting at Omar while he's laying down behind the couch and nobody hits him? Then Omar jumps out from the 5th or 6th floor, breaks his leg (which we find out later), but somehow managed to run away immediately after he hit the ground? Then he shows up on Marlo's corner and everyone runs away, when he's BY HIMSELF?

These last two episodes (Omar's scenes) have felt like an '80s action movie.

Only 4 episodes left. :(

Nice cameo by Nick Sobatka. I knew they were going to try and squeeze a lot of the main characters from the past (Cutty, Bunny, Naymond, Randy, Prez) in a scene or 2 this season, but I wasn't expecting him.
