Prometheus - Innernet hatred for this movie is pretty loud. I don't get it. While this isn't the greatest movie ever, it's still pretty cool. Plenty of blood, action, and tension to keep me entertained. I guess it's just cool to hate.

You say innernet hatred, I say the innernets say it's the greatest movie ever. I thought it was meh at best. I didn't get it. Did the marble guys start life on Earth? It's a prequel to Alien but it's not a prequel to Alien? The reveal of the old dude being on the ship was more obvious than a Gam opinion. Characters mildly interesting at best. Decent action, nice effects. On the meh scale, it's better than Snow White and the Huntsman but not as good as Amazing Spider Man.

I don't understand the innernets love affair with Ridley Scott, as previously discussed.

I see the innernets rip it apart. We must hang in different corners of movie nerddom. There's some stuff that cornfused me, but honestly I haven't found much reason to ponder it. Mild thumbs up for lookin' purty.

I think it's just obvious that your opinions on movies suck.

Your movie opinions > your music opinions.

Benedict Cumberpatch is awesome. I'd go see a movie or watch a TV show just because he's in it.

The history of the eagles - one of the great American bands . Good documentary. Randy Meisner did not age well. Holy cow

The Eagles are the soft, effeminate side of 70's rock.

On a recommendation of a friend, I watched Chupacabra vs. the Alamo tonight. Erik Estrada was on it.

On Monday, I am going to kick that sonofabitch in the nuts.

We caught about a minute of that last night. It was about 55 seconds too much.

Then Mrs. Tit switched it over to Rock of Ages which may have been worse.

Ted - I like talking animals and even better if it's raunchy talking animals. This wasn't as funny or as raunchy as I was led to believe and the Netflix disc wouldn't let me watch the unrated version. Lots of hots though. There were some funny lines that went completely over my wife's head.

Snow white and the huntsman. I like the different version. However, some 'small people' must be pissed. None of those dwarfs were dwarfts.

Admission - A chick flick of sorts, it had Tina Fey and Paul Rudd. She was an admissions officer at Princeton University, and he was a high school teacher. They had sex twice in the movie.

The Hoobstress gave it    out of four.

Zero Dark 30 - For a decade, an elite team of intelligence and military operatives, working in secret across the globe, devoted themselves to a single goal; to find and eliminate Osama Bin Laden. The critics are right - it's good. Though I thought the final mission was shorter than they showed here. Doesn't matter, I guess. That was the best part. Spoiler, OBL dies.

The trailer makes it look way better than the description. I can't help but laugh when I hear the term "titty fuck", so I may go see this one.

42 - Not great, but not awful. It was fairly entertaining and engaging for a popcorn flick. Harrison Ford was great as Branch Ricky. John C. McGinley as Red Barber the radio guy for the Dodgers was surprisingly good. He kind of acted as a de facto narrator for the last half of the movie and it worked well. The CGI recreations of old ballparks like Ebbets and Crosley were realistic and not cartoonish. The movie embraced the deep racism surrounding Robinson in a comfortable middle ground somewhere between beating you over the head and completely Disneyfying it. It didn't shy away from the fact that, while Ricky hated segregation, he was really doing it for the wins and the money.

Two cheeseball Disney-esque moments that drove me nuts: 3 kids running after a train that Robinson was on and, when it left them behind, one put his ear to the rail and said, "I can still hear him." :vomit: The second was the very end of the movie which closed with the Dodgers clinching the '47 NL pennant with a win over the Pirates. The big climactic moment was Robinson hitting a solo home run that from all of the slow motion drama and radio announcer narration was the last play of the game that clinched it all. The only problem is that it was an away game for the Dodgers, so it couldn't have been the end of the game. All in all, a good flick, just no Oscar winnner.

:crickets: :crickets: and a half out of 4.

Iron Man Three - Better than two but not as good as the first. Then again, I haven't seen the first in a long time so I don't know if it holds up. Three is only better because two really sucked. It still didn't do much for me. Parts were okay, but overall it was kinda lame. Ben Kingsley was good but they kinda wasted him. Didn't anyone see Sexy Beast? Don Logan is the kind of villain every superhero movie needs.

[rating thingy out of order]
