Kinsler activated, Garcia optioned, Profar stays. So how in the hell do they juggle this?

I don't care how they do it, but all three have to play. LF is open, as far as I'm concerned. It's not the perfect situation, but at this point you have to get your best 9 out there and it's not like Murph is a defensive stud either.

I was a Murph defender. Can't do that any more.

Profar is at 3B today, Beltre at DH, Berkman out.

Trying to avoid the issue as long as they can.

It's gotta happen if Profar is here. There's no way they can justify anything else, unless someone gets hurt. This team sucks though.

With two All-Stars in front of Profar in Kinsler and shortstop Elvis Andrus, there was some thinking the Rangers' organization that Profar may be better off playing every day in Triple-A. But the decision was made to keep him in the big leagues for now and play him as much as possible.

"He's earned credibility in the clubhouse," Washington said. "He showed us he needs to play."

Profar will play second base, shortstop and third base. He also will begin to get work before games in the outfield, a position he said he hasn't played since Little League. Left fielder David Murphy has struggled all season, batting .208, so playing time could open up there for Profar.

I have given up all hope that the Rangers will win another game.

He stayed gone for a whopping 4 days and still posted on Twitter the whole time. Why did he go through all of the "baseball isn't fun right now" drama if what he meant was "I'm only going to write when they win"? He has a lot to learn about how to melt down and run offt properly.

This was in game 2 of the Yankees/Rangers series. That's Pettitte trying to turn and fire a bunted ball to first but the not Jeter doesn't get his dumbass out of the way. Pettitte unfortunately didn't snap his wrist in two and was able to continue.

Loved the Corby vs. Mike and Danny argument today on the subject. I felt so dirty siding with Corby. Really loved it when Danny said that if OU signed Mussolini that Corby would be in favor of it.

The other day I started following Jessica Scheppers, Tanner's wife on Twitter. She called some guy an asshole, which is why I followed her in the first place.

I just now unfollowed her for spamming the world, trying to get her husband into the all-star game. Good grief, lady.

Pretty sure last night was the first time I have ever seen a batter reach 1st after a dropped 3rd strike.

Bobby Witt didn't pitch in 2010-present, so of course he hasn't seen that.

I don't know what happened last night, but Busby goes in for surgery (next week?) and Grieve is going to be doing the play-by-play and McLemore is going to be the color man. Delicious. Maybe he was just practicing.

When Grieve was on with Jake and Sean last week, he talked about when he and Holtz did the games together. Holtz took the 5th inning off and Grieve did the play-by-play. My memory of that is vague.

If you watched as much baseball as I do you'd know that Busby will be gone for a few games after the All-Star break and that this was the second night in a row that TAG called a couple of innings to "knock the rust off".

Huh, you'd think with all that baseball watching you'd have seen somebody get to first on a dropped 3rd strike.

I know right? Cause it happens like twice a game. I must always be up getting snacks when it happens. Damn snacks.

Yeah, it's right up there with the cycle, unassisted triple plays and 4 homerun games, oh wait, no it fucking isn't. I wouldn't even call it rare. BTW greg, the cycle is when you get a single, double, triple and a homer in one game just in case you were getting snacks last time that was explained.

Are we talking about the same thing here? Dropping a 3rd strike is fairly common, but most of the time the catcher recovers and tags the batter before he even knows it was dropped. Most of the other times the batter just shuffles towards first, waiting for the catcher to easily make the throw for the force out. The rest of the time a batter might haul ass, but the catcher still makes the play rather easily.

Two nights ago was the first time I remember seeing a batter actually make it to first. I'm not saying it never happens, but it's the first time *I've* seen it happen. I'd be interested to see the percentage of how many batters make it to first. I googled like a motherfucker but couldn't find anything on it.

It happens, though not too often, usually only when a shithead batter swings at a pitch in the dirt that goes to the backstop.

Gam, is the Joe Nathan thing a bit now. You say all his saves are close calls, but only one other closer in MLB has a lower WHIP, so I guess I wonder what you are expecting.
