Tag just said andrus made a great play. What a homer

It's worth pointing out that Tex made an awesome play on a hot shot by Moreland early in the game and Tag just called it bad luck. He also had nothing bad to say about that Eric Gregg-like strike three call on Granderson with the bases loaded.

And Darvish was awesome tonight. You guys can suck his dick if you want.

As soon as there's a rule against it. It's only a problem if it's intentional after the play or if it interferes with the ball in play.

That's the first Rangers shutout of the Yankees since 2000

Ah yes, the great Brian Sikorski. He had one good game in him. It was fun listening to the ticket the next day and hearing them go on and on about how this could be the guy who finally breaks out and leads the Rangers rotation to greatness.

Was that a real quote from Wash? If so, that is awesome. I saw a fly-by post on Twitter attributing it to him, but I wasn't sure if it was real.

Surely there's a rule about endangering the lives of the fans down the first base line? The Rangers need to raise a net down there whenever Josh is up to bat. I can't believe he helicoptered TWO bats last night.

BTW, I haven't heard anyone talk about it, but does anyone else think Josh is juicing? He's in a contract year and all of a sudden he's setting records. Fits the M.O. of a baseball player. See: Texieria, Pujoles, Beltre, etc.

I know he has regular drug tests, but I think HGH just raises the testosterone level for a few days, right? He could easily work around that.

I think the fact that he hasn't been fined yet tells you all you need to know.

I have apparently missed a bit of news. Why is Feliz in the bullpen?

Getting skipped in the rotation due to the off day. Bullpen duty until next start.

Top of the 9th, 2 outs, 0-2 count, and TAG spends the remainder of the at bat talking baked goods. WS game 6 level of profanity released in the living room of bigboy manor.

So, our real test is the next series when we have to a play a real team from the East.

I'm glad the Yanks got out of town with at least one win. Despite the Rangers winning two, it was a pretty even series, and the only bad thing I take from it is Phil Hughes continues to suck.

Los Angeles Angels left-hander C.J. Wilson resorted to the wisdom of Texas Rangers' manager Ron Washington after a 3-2 loss at Tampa Bay on Wednesday night.

``To paraphrase a guy I used to play for, `That's the way baseball go,' " Wilson told reporters. ``I really feel like we're close. I genuinely feel we're close to breaking through.''

I agree with this. Texas still hasn't had injury issues (other than Beltre missing a couple of games), so there will be that. But of all the contenders, they are also the most suited to make a big time move at the deadline too.

I haven't verified this, but I saw a blurb this morning saying that the last time the Angels had this bad of a start, they won the World Series.

the crowd was awful just like it typically is for yankee and red sox games. Lots of video taking and group photos behind home plate. Lots of screaming at shallow fly balls. And the goddamn wave. The Rangers should throw out the wave instigators. The best thing was the yankee fan behind me with the east texas accent. He didn't know what a ground rule double was and he started mocking ranger fans when the wave started. At first I thought he mocked them because they were doing the wave then I realized he was mocking them because the first few attempts at it kept petering out.

I went Tuesday and sat behind a dork Yankee fan with a fupa that very closely matched his wife's. He was pretty quiet for most of the game, but stood up and gave a mocking good-bye wave when Yu left the game and kept yelling, "Goodbye, you're done, see ya." I'm not sure he realized that we had just seen 8 1/3 innings of shut out pitching. I'm gonna guess that he's never been any closer to NYC than watching Saturday Night Live on tv.

That's just a plain dumbass right there. Like a ballpark that plays Hit the Road Jack when the opposing pitcher is removed despite having a 10-run lead.

:babyarm: Playing it after Clay Rapada came in and threw 4 pitches to get 1 out was a complete powerdown.

Wash was right. He came out to protect Kinsler and talk to the ump. Everything was good until Wash walked away and the Ump started chirping at him. It wouldn't have made a difference in the game though.

I can't believe David Price is already 26.

Bottom of the 3rd, Feliz walks the 8 and 9 batters and gives up a 3 run homer to Johnson two batters later. About 2 pitches before he gave another homer to Bautista, TAG declares, "He's pitching too good to give up three runs like that."

:notsure: Is he watching the game?

I heard that. He did something else at about the same time that made me wonder if he has Pat Summitt disease. Seriously.

Watching a Rangers game called by TAG is like watching the RNC hosted by Sean Hannity.

Good Lord! Darren Oliver is still in the league pitching for the Jays!

I hear he may be cast in the next Highlander movie...
