No way MLB doesn't give the Rangers to Ryan. Ryan wants to be an owner, and MLB wants him to own a team. This is the perfect storm.

Ryan's first bid was $306.7 million. Cuban topped that by $25 million, making his bid $331.7 million. Ryan group has another 20 minutes or so to decide their next move. Their next bid must be at least $2 million more-- or $333.7M total.

Didn't they have $525M for it at one point? If they're gonna go back and forth like this til no one can go higher, this is gonna take forever.

I think that included land around the stadium which is now no longer part of the deal.

CBS 11 News: Just want to clarify some numbers here: Ryan-Greenberg's total first bid package is worth about $510 million. The cash part of their bid was $306.7 million. Cuban-Crane's bid numbers are $25 million more either way (cash or total package) That's why you see some conflicting numbers about the amounts. Generally, we talk here about the cash part of the bids to keep it simpler.

Reports earlier said both side's lawyers were exchanging fuck yous to each other. Something about C&C's lawyers telling R&G lawyers that they would have time to revue the deal and then pulling the rug out from under them.

I think the cost of fighting Cuban is going to be a whole lot more than paying G-R to walk away. This thing will be approved in weeks if Crane and Cuban have their financial ducks in a row.

I love how Greenberg claims Cuban is trying to stall but here we are an hour past due and we have yet to hear from him.
