Man, while they were interviewing Mrs. Sundberg and Mrs. Ryan, some loudmouth was heckling Big Fat Papi. Funny.

Ok, how many of the VETERANS on the team would have done what Elvis Andrus did when he knew he was going to be out at home? Not that many, I'd say. The Rangers scored an extra run because of this move.

Ok, that was funny that the guy caught the homer on the grass and threw it back on the field before anyone else could get to him.

I don't ever remember the Rangers successfully doing the squeeze. That was more exciting than a home run.

I've seen it done to them a bunch of times.

Wonderful. Time to go walk the dogs.

What was with the guy that had crutches with brooms on the end of them? Kinda bizarre.

This might be a tough concept for a Rangers fan to understand, but it's called "not giving up." They've won 2 of the last 5 WS because of it.

Not sure why you take up for fake Red Sox fans. They are bigger douches than fake Yankees fans.

Not sure why you guys have a problem with them cheering for their team. If you don't like it, go to the game and outyell them.

Oh I know I said that. I'm just a big defender of fans rights to cheer in an opposing ballpark. It's a bigger issue to me than universal healthcare.

I'm a defender of the fan's rights to cheer in an opposing ballpark too but I think this has to do more with the fact that the "fans" we speak of are douche bags wearing frayed caps acting like they finally have redemption from the curse. There's no doubt it's cool to be a Boston fan and 75% of the ones cheering at the ballpark are not transplants nor have they cheered for them all of their lives.

Let's pretend that they have the best fans who refuse to give up. You're not going to find those fans living off of Cooper or in Waxahachie. You'll only find those fans up in Boston where they are bombarded 24X7 with Red Sox love. Living down here you can't possibly experience the same kind of fever so I know those Texans attending games aren't lifelong fans. They're posers.

My next door neighbor, a native Texan is one of those.

Let me reword that for you:

:babyarm: those people suck even the cowboy "fans". I'm sorry you just can't pick and choose who you cheer for. If you were born in or near a city with a sports team then you CHEER FOR THAT GODDAMN SPORTS TEAM.

I'd also like to submit that being a sports contrarian just for the sake of itself should also be outlawed. Great, we all get it, you're CHOOSING to be a TEXANS/ASTROS/ROCKETS/SPURS fan to show your singular individuality. Way to take a stand on an important issue, jagoff. That being said, I have no problem with transplants rooting their hearts out for their teams here. My frustration is with the culture at the ballpark, where the rules require you to be more docile. "ZOMG!! For God's sake, don't stand up and cheer, you're blocking someone's view!!!"

On a given night, say the Rangers draw 30,000 fans. What percent of them could explain the infield fly rule? Or what a squeeze play is? I had my eyes opened way back in 1994 when I went to a game in Cincinatti. Horrible park, team was mediocre, but every person in the stands was into the game. They got loud at the right times (2 strike counts with runners on with two outs every time).

Here fans need a flashing sign to know when to get loud. They don't know why they're doing it, but the flashing sign says make some noise. Here the game is practically secondary to everything else going on. It's just a place to take the kids, which isn't a bad thing in and of itself. I know it's hot as hell, but get into the game. Do you have to stand? No. But know what's going on and follow the action. Half the crowd doesn't know a homerun has been hit until the fireworks go off.

There's quite a few Ranger fans here, but not many baseball fans.
