I've been torn on him the whole time. He'd be great in the short term, but the long term would suck.

I don't think he's coming back here. It sounds like Greenburg is trying to bypass the haggling and get the negotiations over with. They've put their "take it or leave it" offers on the table. I think any of those deals beat the Yankees'.

Rumor is Rangers offered 7/155. Thought they had a deal completed on Saturday. Then Lee backed off to try to get an 8th year from NYY. Cashman says no way.

He's a money whore or he wants to be in NYY. I don't blame him either way, but before this started, he said a 6th was necessary. Now he got a 7th from two teams and he's still holding out for more.

He reminds me of Vanderjagt when he talks. That's fine while he's pitching good, but when he goes to pot that talk is going to be annoying as hell.

We are on a break till 2pm right now. No water pitcher on the table so I set my coffee cup on the opposite side of the table and arced my urine into it. Collateral damage was negligible.

Me? This is good news if it was true and he signed with them. I don't want the Rangers to be saddled with his salary for only 2 good years of service, and I don't want him beating the Rangers 4 times a year, either.

Well, I'll be damned. Numerous sources are saying he took a FIVE year deal to go to Philly. They've called the Rangers and Yankees to tell them he wasn't signing there.
