Tuning in to the Angels vs. Red Sox and I immediately thought, "Come on Sox and win this." I'm thinking of the Rangers, of course.

However, after five minutes of listening to the visitors get nearly as much applause as the home team, I'm having a hard time rooting for them even though I am supposed to want the Angels to lose. I really hate these people.

I see that the Yankees did the logical thing and went to the Pirates to update their roster. Nady was hitting .330 this year.

Their bullpen has been solid this year, so I don't know how much they need him. But as was discussed during the new Good Wood podcast last night, he's a free agent after this year and will be a Class A, so if they lose him they'll get 2 draft picks. As for what they gave up, Tabata was highly touted at one point, but they've recently soured on him. He could still be a good player. The 3 pitchers are each nothing more than setup men or 5th starters.

The players have now changed. The Bucs now get Scott Karstens and Dan McCutchen instead of Kontos and Coke. McCutchen could be really good, so the trade is a bit more balanced now. Still, this smells kinda fishy since they went back and changed things. I wonder if Bud got involved?
