RIP Stein Mart. One of my earliest jobs was working for them over 30 years ago when they came to Shreveport. The manager was shipped in from somewhere else and was an older well put together super gay dude. He must have sized me up as white trash and stuck me in shipping and receiving. He also called me whistle britches.

Whistle britches. I know a guy who uses that term some. He's my dad's age but he acts about 30 years younger.

I'm going to use that term in a conversation with someone tomorrow. Probably to another teacher: "Good job, whistle britches."

Stein Mart is the best place to buy sheets. $20 for a nice king set. I've never found sheets anywhere else that hold up as long.

The only one I can remember is in Arlington. It always seemed like a cheap version of Kohl's to me.
