Hot Nancy McKeon's less hot brother died a couple of days ago. He played Alice's son on Alice. Danny Aiello would have made a good Mel.

One episode of Alice was about Mel turning 50. I remember Alice sang a song about "Mel, ya hit the BIG 5-Ohhhhhhhhhh!!!!" I don't remember any more about the episode except that I think he was hung up on turning 50. At the time I was probably 9 or 10 and I remember thinking how OLD 50 sounded like. Now I'm 51 and sitting behind a desk for 10 hours a day and a good chunk of weekends. I sometimes wonder if having a restaurant would be a better way to spend my time. I don't think Mel knew how good he had it.
