I've lived here 12 years and never gone. Since my BD is in September, my parents used to take me to the Tennessee Valley Fair each year. I think that's scarred me for life!

I love the fair. Delicious greasy food and good people watching. I always have a fun time.

I like heading to the German tent and getting shit faced.

How dark would it be if this year they introduced pizza from big wood burning ovens?

Went when I was 14, did not enjoy it. It's 36 years later, still haven't been back.

Wife wants me to take her, told her to get her next husband to take care of it.

I have a friend who's a bigger gun nut than me, and he goes every year. He always brings his .45 inside with him. It's legal because the fair technically isn't an amusement park.

The fair is a bunch of white people who take their kids in their little Red Ryder wagons and eat fried bacon and look at women in short skirts and tube tops through their sunglasses.

I don't know. I took a 16-month-old. Your kids are going to want to do different things. We paid $10 to park, $15 for tickets (2), $50 or so on food/that big ferris wheel and $10 on games. The petting zoo was free.

12 tickets a person so $6 a person.

They are, but the $50 was for all food AND the ferris wheel. We drank a lot of water ($3 a piece). Only 4 corndogs between the three of us.

I hope its like a 30 minute ride then! Do people brng the red wagon out to drag the kids around? I'm thinkin about it. The Midway and food will get most of my money, I'm sure. What's a beer go for?

Is the Mexcian well represented there? I always thought La Migra was hiding inside of Big Tex.

I saw one person dragging the red wagon. What a beating. Beers weren't that bad. I think they were $4 per. Lots of Mexicans.

How about a 300 pound woman in a halter top? You see any of those?

I guess this is like a Giant Traders Village for them...

The Red Wagon was good for the little guy, but also good for holding a small cooler full of waters so you save money on beverages.
