Here we go with that crap that we hear every year. Usually it's Dish Net in these squabbles but not this time: Call Direct TV to tell them you want Versus. You are gonna have to miss this or that bicycle race if you don't.

Fuck every single bit of that. Your network gets lower ratings that the Food Network. So you need to give in to Direct TV's demands, you stupid spares.

Hoob.

As soon as my contract is up with DTV, I'm dumping it unless they give me a bunch of free shit. When I had it back from 01-05, my signal went out once. In the last 1.5 years, it's gone out at least 30 times, including last night in overtime.

We're going to move this year, and one of the features I'm looking for in a neighborhood, are tv options................and less minorities.

Has it gone out during imperfect weather? If it has, check (or have a service guy check) the contacts on the dish. When mine was first installed they didn't seal em. I had a guy come out and all it needed was some silicone to insulate everything and it was all good after that.

FIOS is not a piece of shit. You may like Uverse, and that's fine, but flat out saying FIOS is a piece of shit is just dumb.

But Sagger doesn't have FIOS, so therefore it = crap.

You should know this by now, Walt.

It's a TV menu. How simple do you need it to be?

I have FIOS and I wish every day that I was in an AT&T area so I could get my uverse back. For the most part, FIOS is the same as every other cable system. On Demand is great, but thats not fios thats just something they carry that you can get most everywhere (even directv now). The picture is the same as Directv and Uverse. The channel lineup is the same as Uverse and Directv (sans NFL sunday ticket). The customer support is mediocre, But all of them have shitty service in one way or another.

However, the packages they offer are a rip off. You have to pay to rent HD boxes $10 a month each (Uverse every box is HD and you pay one $10 fee per month for HD service). You have to pay for each DVR... like 20 bucks a month, each (Uverse gives it to you free when they set it up and you can watch stuff from it on any box in the house, and with Directv you can buy your own and reuse it). The PPV credit system is broken so everytime I try to watch a UFC PPV I have to call and stay on hold for 30-45 minutes (seriously, that long) because at the very last second PPV over 10 bucks don't go through even though I ordered it 2 days ahead of time to avoid this problem. The equipment is HORRIBLE. The box is unresponsive and you end up hitting buttons more than once to make sure you're actually hitting the button and that fucks shit up even more. And the organization of the interface is insane. The only saving grace is the speed of the internet, but you can get that with Uverse without all the extra charges and troubled equipment.

In the past 2 years I have had all three and I long for directv or uverse everytime i pick up the remote. The only thing that was keeping me from getting directv instead is the lack of on demand. But directv now has on demand, so fuck FIOS. It's a PIECE OF SHIT.

Dude, you have to go through 5 different screens to do anything on FIOS. The On demand is organized so you have to scroll past all the bullshit that you're never gonna watch to get to network tv or the premium channels and the go through a hundred screens. And I didn't even mention all that widget bullshit they force down your throat. Seriously, Uverse is 100 times simpler, more organized, faster, and easier to use.

I've had both.
The picture quality is better on FIOS.
The DVR from Uverse is better.

I still prefer FIOS. Sagger = being silly.

I hate the FiOS DVR, though. The interface still has major problems with season passes. But, the picture quality is incredible.

Dude, is it really such an important point to continue?
I compared the quality on that tv I had from Vbear on both systems, and it looked better.
Enough already. I don't feel like arguing this point.
I like FIOS, you don't. That's the long and short of it.

I don't get it. I have an opinion based on my experience with the stuff. That's all. I wasn't aware that I was being blasphemous by shitting on FIOS. I'll certainly note that in my forum handbook.

I don't give a shit one way or the other. I've been running a "FIOS is the greatest shit ever" bit for a few years now and you're not gonna ruin it for meh.
