Back in the summer I had a discussion with the landlord about the power line that feeds the Hoob shack. It runs through the branches a big oak tree and we both agreed something needed to be done in case we ever got freezing rain. Then it was forgotten. Until yesterday, when it was too late.

The power stayed on, fortunately.

Hoob ISD is closed on Friday. Our kids have been here one-half of a day this week.

I slipped and fell in my driveway yesterday. No, I did not break a hip. I did cuss a lot.

Our office shut down early that Monday and was closed the rest of the week. I stayed home on Monday because I started feeling sick. Ended up with pneumonia. My doc's office was closed until Thursday afternoon so I couldn't get any good drugs before then. I still felt pretty bad last week but I'm all good now.

Between this and the bout I had with COVID in December, I think I've been sick more in those 5 weeks than I have in the last 2-3 years.

Drove through Sherman at around 5:30 and the ground looked like they had received snow. But it was hail.
