Ralphie is going away.

My favorite memory of him was on June 19, 1999. I was driving home from a gig, and it was the night that the Stars had won game six against Buffalo. He and Razor were doing the post-game show and they sounded like they didn't want to sign off for the evening, they were so giddy. I was happy that the team had won, but I was happy for Ralph, too. I think it was like 1:30 am when they finally went off the air.

Here is a video of the pre-game show of the Stars first home game. Ralphie had some funny hair going on here.

This has been years in the making. I like his game calling but I guess he's a bit of a douche behind the scenes.

Technically, everything is "years in the making".

According to the DMN, one of the leading candidates to replace Ralph as the play by play guy is Razor. And he really wants the job. Interesting.

I just now had to sit and think for a minute what his real name was, I've called him Razor for so long.

I don't know. I bet a lot of people have called him Razor for a while.

Dave Strader has cancer of the bile duct. It is a rare and aggressive form and is not curable. However, it is treatable.

Looks like Razor will do the play by play and Ludwig will be the sidekick.

This sucks for Dave.

Ralphie has been calling LA Kings games as a substitute, and he wants to be considered for the job full-time next year. If it was covered by someone on the Ticket, I missed it.
