What the hell was that kick all about?

Tell me that wasn't Wade trying to make a call to prove he's in charge.

Wasn't a fumble. The ball wasn't "moving" before he went down, Troy.

Whoever called for the challenge should immediately be canned. What did they see that would make them question the call? Obvious touchdown. Way to waste a time out.

Everyware was basically dragged down by his jersey but of course the refs don't see that.

I don't blame Beuler, not one bit. He's not a field goal kicker, plain and simple. This falls completely on the coaching staff and specifically, Wade.

He was a Jerry decision wasn't he?

Ya, and he's got final say. I have to think though that the head coach should be able to go to the GM/Owner and tell him flatly "HE'S NOT A FG KICKER" and the GM should listen.

How about how they didn't even have anyone to challenge Beuhler in the preseason? You go soft on an unproven kicker?

Oh, Jeez. Game = over. This thing is fucked up from top to bottom.

Top tier talent (on paper) + incompetent coaching = fucking disaster.

Witten is upset about not going back in, but it's the right call. Jerry will probably fire whoever is keeping him out, but good on the medical staff for making the call.

Starting the 2 min offense, 10 points down, with a 4 yard pass.

When is this band of idiots going to figure out FG kickers matter? Do we not go through this bullsh just about every year? And when we have a good kicker in, games are won and stories are told of how important he is.

It's the only skill position that isn't treated as a skill position.

The kicker is number 28 on the list of problems with this team.

the backfield = not that great. Marion simply doesn't have the same explosive power.
Choice isn't even used much. Felix is used in places you'd probably use Choice. Why isn't Felix used more of a chance up, instead of running him up the middle or off guard or tackle?

Receivers = not that great. (how many bobbles that wind up as interceptions should you 'allow' per game?)

Romo = again, having one of those 'he's just kinda off' games. How many of those does your star QB get?

Secondary = spotty. Jenkins is sometimes good, sometimes he or someone gets burned bigtime.

Kicker? Yeh, he sucks. But give me smarter offensive play where you rely less on field goals (long range, at that) and I'm not as concerned.

I'm not going to argue that the kicker is the most important player on the team, but it IS a skill position and shouldn't be an afterthought. I don't think most teams can realistically figure on blowing everyone out by a couple of TDs every week.

They can find a new kicker while they're blowing the fucking thing up. Good god this team sucks.

Nothing brings out the derp in the DFW area like the Cowboys losing two in a row. Much of it comes from the hosts, but the callers ran them a close race today.

Winning a game every once in awhile would spare me of this sort of torture.

Another week, another segment filled with Norm apologizing for Garret. Is Norm his secret adopted father or something? Is it not conceivable that the guy just can't call a game?

They're playing a pretty nice selection of music on 91.7. A little funk and a little jazz. Soothing.

I did turn the clock radio beside the bed to it and one morning they played Apeman by the Kinks, which was a nice way to wake up. Especially considering the first thing I do each morning is scratch my balls and fart.
