the guy couldn't even get his starting job back last year when he got healthy again. so technically the cowboys just drafted a backup qb on a 4-8 team.

I flipped by the Ticket yesterday afternoon to hear a discussion on McGee and Corby said something to the effect of "he could be starting here in five years when Romo is done."

So it'll take 5 years for them to figure out Romo is a fraud?

I heard that and thought of angry fruit. We need to get those two together.

According to the news this morning, the stadium implosion is the greatest cultural moment in Dallas history.

You're not serious, right? Texas Stadium was a major landmark and helped define the metroplex for almost 40 years. I think having it lead newscasts in this area on the day it was imploded shouldn't be considered overkill.

You make it sound like that was the only covereage it got. It was the lead story on the newscasts for a week prior and every channel ran a 1 hour pregame show to the implosion. WFAA ran with it for the first 10 minutes of their 10:00 news last night, 15 hours after the deed was done.

It didn't lead channel 5 for a week, but you're right they had a story every day on it. The only part I got tired of hearing about was the kid that won the kraft contest.

The other part makes total sense for stations in this area: I fully expected a 2 hour special the morning of and definitely expected it to lead the news that night.

What's wrong with watching a bigass stadium get blowed up? If it wasn't at 7am all the way in Irving I might have gone.

I guess I meant to say if you went and got all emotional over it like all of the people interviewed yesterday, you might have issues. Nothing wrong with watching something get blown the fuck up.

Yeah that's a little silly. Just because that stadium gone doesn't mean you won't be able to remember what it was like when your Dad took you to a Cowboy game in the 80s.

The only emotion I felt was the adrenalin rush as for a split second I thought I was witnessing armageddon. The chances I see another building that size get blown the damn hell away in my lifetime is pretty low. I wasn't going to miss it.

Why couldn't they just have had some A-rab fly a plane into the sumbitch and dispose of it that way? That way they could have saved on dynamite and some guy could have had 72 pieces of pussy waiting for him.
