I had heard of him before then, but not much. He was revered as a major influence of bands in the 60's.

This guy stirs up memories of my childhood, living out in the sticks of NE Texas. When we would get the new TV Guide for the week, I'd flip over to Saturday to see what Wide World of Sports. It was my favorite show of all.
