Are they negotiating? I think they were trying to get a quick court date to hash it out. In the meantime, the judge ordered D&J to stop openly violating their no compete.

I am damn sure not a lawyer, but The Dumb Zone had a happy ending here.

Very surprising the judge would allow them to continue, unless he/she knows something we don't about how this will play out.

Not sure if this will show up since it's a shared subscriber link for a paywall article. Dan and Jake's case and the NLRB implications get covered by the Washington Post.

Funny. Serious people reading about and commenting on the "dumb zone' case is funny

As of today the Dumb Zone podcast has 5,561 paid members. Subscriptions are $6.90/mo or $69/yr. I don't know if the data is available for how many there are of each so figure the boys are making between $383,709 and $460,450 per year. Depending on the plan, Patreon charges between 8-12% plus "payment processing, currency conversion, and payout fees". Not sure what that would amount to overall... maybe 20-30%?

If we aim high on the income at $460,450/yr and low on the fees and taxes at 20%, the total annual is $368,360, or $30,696/mo. After operating costs I wonder just how much is going to Dan and Jake. My guess is they (esp Dan) aren't making anywhere near what they would have if they stayed at the Ticket, especially when you consider the health and retirements benefits included with the company.

They're also paying Blake, so they're not taking home all of that.

Also, will those annual subscribers re-up when it's time? The number of subscribers hasn't increased by any significant margin for several months. I don't think it's going to get any better. The boys are either going to have to do something to gain more subs or raise their rates if they are going to keep doing this.
