You don't strike me as the type to stiff a girl for your half of the cost of the rusty hanger.

They played... a couple deep cuts (Hold Back the Rain and Planet Earth)

I was about to go full lobster on you about "Planet Earth" being a deep cut. I searched the webs for the Billboard numbers and found it charted well in the UK and especially Australia, but it only got to 88 on the USA Billboard Dance chart (with Girls on Film on the B side). MTV and Night Flight must have played the hell out of the video because I remember hearing it a LOT back then.

Last weekend, we went out to FW to some new venue called Tulips to see the Mountain Goats. Good show. Their leader John Darnielle is one of the best songwriters around today. They have around 20 albums at this point and you should check them out. Anyhoo, Tulips. It's an ok place, but kinda small and no AC in there. Fuck that shit. Plus it's standing room only and I'm getting too old for that shit. We didn't get there early enough to get a good spot and stood near the back. This isn't a problem for me because I'm tall, but Mrs Tit is not and she said she never even saw the band. I've already cut down on attending live shows because it's all an asswhip, but I may need to cut out club shows completely. These old legs can't handle it. I need a seat. I feel like I've said this before and will still go to shows and bitch about it later. I'm going to see Alvvays in November in Deep Ellum, so yeah that tracks. On the plus side, parking down the street from the place was free, and since it's FW, no homeless or panhandlers bugging you unlike that other downtown area in that city nearby.

That took me a minute, but I laughed.
