It MAY cause cancer. We're not really sure though

Third anniversary came and went and I totally didn't even think about it. That's how much cigarettes affect me now. Fuck em.

I've got plenty of wind (heyo!) but after a minute of jogging my heart will feel like it's about to burst out of my chest. A couple of months ago I got into a routine of getting up every morning and run/walking a couple of miles but work got stupid and I traded work for working out. I need to get back into that routine.

I was in a good workout routine for more than a year, but I got out of it for the past 6 weeks. It's amazing how fast the weight returns when you stop exercising, which sucks because I hate exercising.

I thought people looked like dumbasses smoking cigs... I swear I get visions of "Refer Madness" every time I see someone huffing on those things.

October 12 at 8:05 am marked TEN FULL YEARS I have not smoked. Also, it's been about a year and a half since I decided I was finally going to do something about my weight. So far I'm down about 55 pounds and would like to lose another 30-35. Even with the Meniere's and the blood clot in my eye (hello, permanent blind spot) I feel better physically than I have in a long, long time. I feel better about myself, too. I'm still overweight (technically obese), but I don't look "unhealthy" like before. I don't have fat neck, my arms don't look too short, and the shirts I wear don't look like mumus. Also, being able to look down and see my dick is always nice. Me and the wifey are rolling in the hay a lot more these days since we can get into some positions that we haven't been able to do in while

I'm not delusional and think I'm a picture of health by any means, but man I am SO much better now than I was just a few years ago.

Still smoke free. I really expected it to be harder than this. Some observations:

I expected to smell cigarette smoke on the clothes in the closet or the carpet or blankets or something. I kinda expected the whole apartment to stink, but it doesn't. I always thought people that don't smoke can smell it right away, but I guess I was wrong. I couldn't even smell it on coworkers that smoke. I was always self conscious of that but I guess I never had anything to worry about.

Just FYI, smokers do stink. You just can't tell yet but us non-smokers can smell you a mile away.

Ted's right, forum, I just wish I could have told him before he went to lower forum heaven.

I don't know if I addressed this later in the thread, but I guess it took a while for my sense of smell to recover. At first when I noticed the smell on someone or in a restaurant that still had a smoking section, it really didn't bother me that much. It was probably due to my sniffer not being very good at the time, but also because I stayed sympathetic to smokers for years after I quit. Now though the smell is very off-putting and people that smoke are idiots. Vapers, too. Bunch of fucking dumbasses for allowing themselves to get hooked on a drug that has no benefit, only detriment.

Thank you for showing me the light before you went in it, Terd.
