Read the first issue of Saga last night. I love how the TV head people/anal rampage occurs right after a page turn. I also wonder how things will go one day if Tit Jr discovers what kind of things go on in these books I read. I'd rather he discover innernet porn first.

Where does forest porn fall on your timeline of discovery?

Forest porn is first and foremost. I first discovered it around age 9, which is where he is. This summer, I'll encourage him to wander down with his friends to that forest area about a half mile from the house. Maybe he'll find something there. Or maybe he'll get molested by hobos.

Well, the island being a stopper in the bottle of evil is better than the force being midichlorians.

By the way, finished the first compendium of Walking Dead. When I saw the Governor near the end, I immediately thought of this:

It's a lot of shock value stuff but I still dig it.

Didn't like random chick suddenly killing the Governor though. Kinda out of nowhere.

Finished compendium 2 (up through issue 96/book 16). Kinda jumped the shark with Carl losing half his head and surviving. People seem to heal quickly. Glen shows no sign of being shot in the leg a few weeks ago. I'm still going to stick with it and get 17 and 18. The things like that are fairly few and far between.

The comics are overrated. There, I said it.

Finished book 17 (issues 97-102) and it's becoming a little tired. Negan seems just like an amplified Governor. Getting repetitive. The keep finding bigger and bigger places where they can "make a life" only to have it overrun or taken by someone evil. Then a main character is killed and they all sulk.

I generally prefer ones that have an ending. I didn't read Y: the Last Man until I knew it was over and the ending was finite. Bryan K. Vaughan has said he can't do a series that would be ongoing. So I like him good.

Finished reading Box Office Poison, a huge collection of a black and white comic about 20-somethings trying to make it in NYC in the late 90s. It starts out as a handful of characters going thru the usual relationship and slice of life kinda stuff but ends up exploring some complicated lives pretty deeply. It's all character stuff, but it's surprisingly happy/sad/moving at times. By the end, I couldn't wait to see how these people ended up. I'm a fuckin' nerd.

Do you make the "vvvvvvvmmmmmm" light sabre sound when your force awakens?

As usual, I'm late to the party but Too Many Cooks may be the greatest thing ever internetted.

On a side note, when I typed the above sentence, I originally typed buut instead of but. I was going to leave it in and when someone corrected me on it, I would say it was actually a clone of but. Then only fruitdog would have laughed. And no one reads or responds to posts any more except for Hoob and he stays away from threads like this to begin with so no one would have corrected me causing nerd joke blue balls on my part. So I decided it was for the best to to delete the joke and spare us all from the pain and suffering it would have caused. You're welcome.

Bryan Singer is returning to the X-Men franchise. He's set to direct a "Days of Futures Past" movie, which is probably the most well-known X-men story. Government decides to keep the mutants in check with Project Wideawake--the Sentinels. Of course, this ends up with the slaughter of thousands and a post-apocalyptic world controlled by the Sentinels and those that control them. Most every major character dies. It was an alternate-future thing originally. I don't care about any of the other x-movies, this is the only one they should have made.

What did you think about this? It wasn't really about the Sentinels as much as it was going back in time to stop the Sentinels from happening. Most of the destruction had been happening off screen.
