I've been playing online a lot recently. Once I kind of figured things out it's pretty fun. My favorite past time is creating races an deathmatches. My first race was designed and named after the old NES Excitebike. It's on the horse racing track and I put ramps up to truck trailers like the old game. Good times. I called the next one 'Day Labor' and made it a pick-up truck race that starts at the You Tool (their version of Home Depot) and goes through the farms in the country side and ends at the bar. I have two team deathmatches. The first one is one the movie studio lot and specifically on a big outdoor set. Only weapons are explosives (grenades, sticky bombs, grenade launchers, RPGs, molotovs) to give it a Michael Bay feel. The other is at the Playboy mansion. There's a rocket launcher in the grotto. Good times. |

Tomorrow Wolfenstein is supposed to go on sale for $40. I was getting all excited until I read you can get it at GameStop for about that PLUS it has a DOOM! demo on the disc, which apparently doesn't come with the digital version. |

I think you have to go through the Rockstar Social Club site to join the crew. As part of the Remove Rowdy Crew, I believe it will allow you access to my apartment when doing the online game, which is good as you will have no place to hide as a n00b. Note that just because you go to the pause menu, the game is not paused. The online world keeps rolling and people will kill you while you just stand there. You won't have access to much good stuff at first but it comes pretty quick with leveling up. Best way to level up is to do races. Things are on a much more level plane in a race. You can start any race from the pause menu on the map by finding it and hitting X, you do not have to actually travel to that spot. But when you decide to stop racing, you will be dropped near that point on the map. You generally get left alone, but this is GTA and killing random people is kinda what it is all about. If you won more than $5000 from your racing, you need to deposit it in the bank before someone kills you. There's noting I can find that you need cash for, but if you have over $5000 on you and get killed, you drop it and other players can take it. You can deposit it at an ATM but that's a good place to get killed. You can access the Maze Bank site on your phone and do it too, usually before being killed. There's really not much of a hunter/hunted thing going on as you can just avoid others on the map basically. |
