Reserved mine today. Won't be able to make the midnight launch, unfortunately.

Assasin's Creed is carrying me over until Tuesday. Interesting, glad I rented and didn't buy, but enjoyable.

Over/under on how many whores I'll kill next week: 37

I just bought a used copy of saints row last night to tide me over and reserved my copy. I was talking to the kid behind the counter at gamestop. He said the company bases the amount of hours they work on the number of reserved games they get people to buy. Kind of a shitty deal.

Assasin's Creed is quite enjoyable even if the controls are jacked. But they're jacked because they tried something different. Makes me look forward to the sequel, maybe they'll have the kinks worked out.

Halo 3 sold something like $170 million its first day. And it was only available on the 360. I wonder how GTA will do? Gut feeling says that even though it's on both systems, it won't do as well as that.

Probably. What was the parental rating of Halo 3? Isn't IV 17 and up?

Both are M. I think Halo may have the edge worldwide, but GTA gets more casual gamers. So who knows?

there have been articles for a couple weeks detailing how badly GTA is gonna demolish the record. Take two estimated 400 million in the first week. http://www.gamespot.com/xbox360/action/ ... id=6189326

If I don't have the 360 connected to the errwebs do the achievements I unlock still update? If so I might have to keep the 360 unconnected until tuesday.

I think as soon as you get a connection it updates. So if you earned them now and connected later, I think they'd show up then. Why?

Post subject:  Re: GTA IV countdown blog

Because I was playing GTA all weekend and I don't want my achievements to update until the game actually comes out.

I've read that it has some form of online multiplayer. I'd imagine it'll be competition-style rampages, racing, etc.

I played earlier GTAs, and while the wide open spaces are cool to explore, the game itself never kept my interest for some reason. And I like those types of games, even. I'm just wondering if this one has online play, because if it does, that will warrant a second look.

I don't get it. whats the benefit of the option of limiting the nested posts if the forum software is gonna leave the [quote] shit in? Thats weird.

That's the annoying part of it, having to freaking edit the damn thing. If the software would automatically trim it down to the latest 3 or whatever number you set quotes, it would be more tolerable.

I came into work early specifically so I could leave early and pick up the game. I also spent probably 10 hours in the last 3-4 days trying to finish off 'Bully' because I knew I wouldn't play it at all starting today.

Yea, I'm a giant nerd.
