We had a potluck here once where a guy came in with home made ice cream. I found a pubic hair in my scoop.

In fairness though, it was delicious up to the point I found it.

I always thought my boss was weird because he's super picky about where his food comes from. He's specifically worried about someone putting a booger in his food. Seriously, anytime he bitches about food, it always involves a booger. After hearing what some of you are finding in your food, I'm starting to understand his point of view.

Someone brought in Rudy's breakfast tacos this morning. I am a fatty so I had 3. There are still almost a dozen left in there. We also have a tin of cookies and a holiday treat basket and it's my bosses birthday so we are having cake.

We had a potluck "brunch" this morning (fuckin' 9am ain't brunch, you morons but whatever). It was a good spread. Donuts, kolaches, summer sausage, cheese, breakfast tacos, sausage biscuits, bagels, muffins, and more shit I don't remember. I am also a fatty so I filled up. I'll probably skip lunch but will be grazing throughout the day.

Sweet potato pancakes from Garden Cafe. It's in Junius Heights. I hardly ever go out for breakfast. These bad boys are gooder'n a mug. I'm talking size of your plate. Do you prefer pancakes over waffles?

I like waffles but for some reason people like making pancakes more. You can do a lot more with a waffle than you can with a pancake. Waffles are awesome with fried chicken, for example. I also like French toast. Do you ever make breakfast for dinner?

I tried just a little on a piece of toast. I doubt I'll try it again. It went from ok to bad to ok again to worse to yeesh to I survived that. The taste remained in my mouth till I brushed it out before bed. It was kinda soy sauce-ish except, ya know, solid.

Resident Taqueria: yep, I had tacos. This place is really good, but these tacos are small. I had 2 caramelized cauliflower ones ( do you say car-muhl, care-mull, kara-mell, or kara-mull?), 1 pork belly, and 1 pork rib. I also had some garlic pinto beans, & some guacamole. They put little green peas in their guacamole. They also make their own chips.i also had a Sol. That's right, I had a brewski at lunch. 100% bad boy. It was a tad skunky.

Twist: St. Vincent's sister is an owner here. I don't think I would recognize her tho. Also, it cost $22 to eat here and I'm still hungry.

I heard about that place when it opened and St Vincent worked there for a weekend. She's hot and gives me a big boner but I hear she's lesbo. That coupled with a $22 lunch means I'll never eat there. And yes, that can mean two things.

Highland Park native Annie Clark, aka St. Vincent, is a musician/songwriter who is hot and can fucking shred on guitar. She has released 4 albums and did a collaboration with David Byrne. You should check her out.

She was free of make up and wore black, but I could detect attractiveness and youth behind her rootish veneer. Not wanting to appear star struck, I never once made eye contact or spoke, and only pointed towards the things I wanted on the chalk board menu.

slow bone bbq --had this for lunch. Fuck me with a stick, it was good. 2 meat combo , brisket + cilantro snausage. BBQ sauce was just ok, a bit vinegar heavy. Sides were top notch. I had the brussel sprout cauliflower gratin and sweet potatoe casserole. Bread choice: cornbread. 3 babe sightings. Parking was a bitch.

Twist: when I was icing up my cup I bumped the drink lever next to the ice dispenser on the fountain machine and hosed my hand down with red drink.

Verdict: Would eat here again.

The Great American Hero on Lemmon. They make good sandwiches. It starts with the bread. Their bread is top notch. I had the #13, the Heroletta, which is just like a muffuletta except different. It was on cheesy jalapeño bread. I also had a fruit cup. They were both delicious.

Twist: while I was in line the owner dude gave me a free pickle sample to snack on. That's right, free---he didn't even charge a nickel for the pickle. It was good and made me tickled to get a free pickle.
