Day 12

Down 10 pounds...most noticeable in the gutteral area, still have some work to do, but overall very pleased with the way things are going.

Been doin' the treadmill for 40 minutes on at least a 5 incline morning and night, a few aerobic exercises to target the arms and tummy, and sticking with fruits and vegetables. Still not my favorite food items, but I'm learning that they do at least make a decent meal.

Got a week and a day left, and I feel pretty confident I can lose another 8-10 pounds. Will definitely continue working out/eating better after the program ends to get into shape for the first time in about 6 years.

I'll post the before & after pics when I'm done, for sure...the 21st day is July 6th, so they should be posted right around then. For now, there's a difference, but still need to lose more before I get too excited.

And I'm having my 21st birthday party July 7th (at my parents' house, so it's legal), so I will probably gain back about 5 pounds just from the sheer volume of alcohol I am likely to consume. Oh well.

But you will probably lose 2.5 of those pounds when you throw up all over your parents sheets.

You all know Grubes. The former Ticket board op, the current Dallas Stars Club DJ, the Twitter must-follow, and quite possibly the best dude ever.

This is Grubes:

And this is where Grubes frequently sits at the Rangers games:

<image007.jpg>

That’s him in the Red cap.

That could be you in the blue and white cap, next to him.

Grubes has agreed to put up for auction – to further support Julie McGraw and her family – one of those two seats in the first row behind home plate at Globe Life Park (and on everyone’s TV screen for every single pitch of that night’s game). Grubes will sit in the other one.

Yep, you get to go to a Rangers game with Grubes, and be on TV for three hours.

He’s making either September 11 (vs. Oakland), September 18 (vs. Seattle), or September 28 (vs. Detroit) available.

Here’s how we’re going to do this: Email me your bid at GJSneaker@sbcglobal.net. The bidding will close at 5:00 pm today. I won’t email the high bids out as the day goes on, but I will post them on my Twitter timeline every time a new high bid is established.

Go to a Rangers game during a pennant race while sitting next to Grubes in the front row and staring at millions watching at home . . . and support a great cause in the process.

The bidding starts now.

Go.

September was a calico, and she stared deep into its eyes and let loose with a gurgle purr, her Nexium not yet having cancelled out the effects of the Franzia. Carefully drawn hearts in shades of her most daring Merle Norman color, hussy nectar, framed the 3 possible dates on PCS's "Cats of 2015" calendar that hung crooked on her wall. Exhausted from the afternoon's frantic errands, she flopped herself backwards onto her matress, topless and in her sleeping panties, and stared upwards at the ceiling. She extended her left arm, her fleshy triceps swaying gently--her left breast finding solace in the pit of her arm, and pointed at the largest clumps of popcorn texture that were like bullet points and silently mouthed all the things she had done earlier:

*cash out 401K
*take out cash advances on all credit cards
*pawn wedding ring
*take pictures of items for eBay
*schedule a Saturday garage sale, preferably from 8-noon
*post car on Craig's list
*take out a 2nd mortgage

She hoped she had done enough to produce the necessary cash to procure the highest bid. She lit a Moore with her brûlée torch from the nightstand and exhaled deeply. Sleep would not come easy tonight.

High bid was $1750. Grubes also agreed to a 2nd game with the runner up. No idea if PSC is one of those.
