Going to see Jason Isbell tonight at the Southside Ballroom. Mrs. Ich is not a fan so your Unca Ich is going solo!

Hard to believe we've been posting on this forum going on 11 years now. Harder to believe Walt is still leading in posts though he's been gone for so long. :???:

Even though Donnie Doo is now cohosting 10 to noon, I still can't listen to Norm.

June will be a busy and diverse month of music for your Unca Ich. Taking Mrs. Ich to the Kessler on Sunday to see Robert Ellis. The following Sunday I'm taking Ich Jr to see Buckethead at The House of Blues. This'll be our 2nd time seeing him in concert.

Taking Mrs. Ich to see Carol King at the Winspear for her birthday next week.

Rounding it out at the AAC to see Steely Dan and Steve Winwood! Love me some Steve Winwood.

I am going to see something called Pierce The Veil this month. I follow that up a couple of days later with The Vans Warped Tour.

I imagine I will be the oldest person at both. Things you do for a teenage daughter.

We had a late afternoon meal yesterday at a place called Saltines in Jackson. It's an oyster bar type place. It was good. Anyhoo, it is also attached to a concert hall. Last night, Built to Spill was playing. We did not go.

Waiting for the President Obama to address the nation and explain how Nice suffered a tremendous case of workplace violence at the hand of a pissed off truck driver running late on his route and getting held up by the crowd! :boggle:

Ya know, the real problem here is that France has too many trucks! I mean 77 People! Just how many gears did this truck have? There is no need for a truck to be able to go that fast. All trucks need a governor! Except the government trucks of course... I bet this Tunisian dude bought this truck at a private truck show! He had no business buying a truck like that!

Just bought my tickets to the Tennessee Vols/ ATM game. Looking forward to seeing my first game at Kyle Field. Go Vols!

My buddy had a small benign tumor removed from his brain a couple of weeks ago. When he woke up from the surgery he pretended to not know his wife and kept asking her who she was! Heartless but brilliant!

Going back to Knoxville this weekend. Going to a 45 year reunion of my Pee Wee football team. Some of the coaches are still alive and are planning on being there. I know it sounds ridiculous at first, but it will be great to see some old friends that I haven't seen in many years.
And why the hell not?

So I'm watching NBC5's 5:00 PM newscast this afternoon and the infobabe is reporting on the Terrorist Machete attack in Belgium. She actually reported that the attacker was heard to say, "God is Great in Arabic before being shot." So, the News has become PC and will not say "allah akbar" anymore?

This country is doomed.

Interesting that MSNBC used the exact same terminology. Obviously, the word has been sent that we don't want to offend believers of Allah.

Trapped... Trapped in Memphis. Special assignment covering a start up for a new client. I thought that I'd escaped operations, but have been sucked back into the vortex. Been here since late October with only occasional conjugal visits back home. Told Mrs. Ich to quit letting the pool boy put his shit in my dresser while I'm gone!

Will fly home the morning of the 22nd to make our annual family pilgrimage to see Trans Siberian Orchestra.

I was sitting in a laundromat in Horn Lake, Mississippi yesterday afternoon looking around and wondering how in the Hell had my life's path led me here?

Strange Days indeed!

Flew in from Memphis this morning. Ich Jr. picked me up and dropped me at Ichette's apartment. Met Mrs. Ich there so we could babysit our granddaughter. Came home this afternoon. I walked into the house while Mrs. Ich went to the mailbox.

I'd just taken my jacket off and walked into the kitchen when Mrs. Ich opened the front dooor screaming my name. I ran to the door with her screaming two planes just collided in midair and went down. We both jumped in her car and sped out of the neighborhood. Followed the smoke to a storage unit next to our Home Depot.

(These were both single engine planes with single pilots)

I parked the car and scaled the brick wall and dropped into the storage yard. Found the wreckage in flames. Plane hit a boat parked in the lot and then crashed into the side of the storage unit. Three or four other men had already arrived so we ran through the storage yard gathering up fire extinguishers.

We knocked down the flames on the plane's engine so I attempted to get to the pilot. Unfortunately I couldn't find him. I think he was inside the storage unit. The storage unit had sprinklers going off so I was getting drenched and breathing smoke at the same time.

I had to retreat from the smoke and flames. Used an empty fire extinguisher to bust the lock on the overhead door of the storage unit. Could only get the door up about a quarter of the way, but fire, smoke and water prevented me from getting inside.

The fire department was finally able to get through the gate, so we backed out and let them do their job.

Scaled back over the wall and found Mrs. Ich. She freaked when she saw me soaking wet coughing like a two pack a day smoker. Wanted to take me to the emergency room. Fuck that. I'm a tough old geezer. Still can't shower the smoke smell off of me.

Damn. I had read Tweets about a plane crashing in McKinney into a storage building, but didn't know it was that. Wow.
