Anyone else watching this?

It is star-packed. Todd from Breaking Bad is married to Kirsten Dunst. They both put on weight for these roles. Todd put on a LOT of weight. Kirsten's face is fuller, but the majority of her weight appears to have settled in her sweater pets. Ted Danson, Brad Garrett from Everybody Loves Raymond, Jean Smart from Designing Women, Ted's dead wife from How I Met Your Mother, and a pair of oogy twins as henchman ala Breaking Bad.

Storyline is every bit as intriguing as last year. I'm in for the rest of the season.

I didn't watch the first season. Do I need to or is this more of a True Detective kinda thing?

So far, I like season 2 more than season 1. Sue me. I thought I saw Willem Dafoe sitting on the couch in one scene, but IMDB says no. Kirsten Dunst and Ted Danson are so great.

You don't need to watch season 1 to watch season 2.

you should watch both seasons. It is a stellar show and you would love it. I'm enjoying season 2 more as well and I thought season 1 was going to be unbeatable. This week's show was super tense.

S1 is finally available on Hulu, I think. I'll start it after the World Series is over. Then I'll get pissy cuz I didn't DVR S2 and there's nowhere to watch S2 for free. Fuck FX is what I'm saying.

I bought season 2 b/c I hate commercials, but this show is so stinking good I can't wait and end up watching it in real time on FX every Monday. I'm already prepared to put it in Top 5 series status. Also, it has been green lighted for a season 3. I do have a spoilerish question regarding last night's episode.

When Betsy goes to her father's house to check on his cat: Very tense, I thought she was going to get killed when she wanders into his office, which is full off odd drawings. Just what the heck are all those hieroglyphics about? I guess it is a tie in to the underlying alien theme? And where is Snowball?

I don't think we're supposed to know what those drawings are yet. I sure don't. I forgot about that UFO though.

I'm prepared to put it in the top 10 if the final episodes deliver.

This show is the best at building tension. I could probably watch a back forth conversation between Lou Solverson and Mike Milligan for an entire episode.

Speaking of Mike Milligan, when I was a kid one of the children's books I had and would read over and over was Mike Mulligan and His Steam Shovel.

I watched the first 3 episodes of S2 this weekend. This show is really good. I wanna get caught up but I gotta wait for Mrs Tit to be ready to watch. She always gets kinda pissy when I ask if she wants to watch, like it's putting her out to take her eyes off of Twitter/Facebook/Instagram for a short time and have to pay attention to a show for 48 minutes. I'd be caught up already if I didn't have to wait for her.

We're watching on the FX Now app on Roku, which is a really shitty app. Streaming issues, too many commercials, and the loading times are too long between each one. No one likes the commericals on Hulu, but they have their shit together and get them out of the way quick.

they also give a nice timer on those commercials so you know just how long you have to piss or get another drink.

The FX Now app gives you enough time to fix dinner, read a book, jerk off, etc.

Good to know, I'll just find it elsewhere when I watch.

I thought the got rid of that. I don't see it on the Roku or Xbox. I miss it though.

I'm all caught up on the show now. Holy cow crap, is anyone still alive? Like cap, I'm glad Dodd is dead, but I was sad to see Floyd go, and I hope Hank hangs on long enough to explain that UFO. What did you guys think of that?

Oh yeah, spoilers.

I was sad to see Floyd go too. The Indian got really hanzee with her. That is one bad ass Indian. Bear went out like a champ too. I liked Dodd, but it was great seeing him scared of Peggy. I'm pulling for Peggy and Fat Damon to make it, but I bet Ed gets offed next week. I bet Hank dies too. I was reading comments on another board and a lot of people were pissed about the ufo and acted like the show jumped the shark and expect things to get tied up in a neat bow.i thought it a bit odd, but cool. Sorta like season 1's fishnado scene.

I was reading another site's comments too and some pointed out there that in S1 Lou wouldn't go into details about Sioux Falls (I think to Malvo) because he'd think he was just making shit up. I loved Peggy's line, "It's just a flying saucer, Ed. We gotta go." I plan on throwing that out to anyone who doesn't like any explanation offered for it. Hell, maybe she summoned it. She IS fully realized.

I'm cool with that explanation, but they still should mention Hank's side room again. I can see the conspiracy angle that's been touched on the whole time, but even the slightest hint of a reason helps. The whole thing kinda reminds me of Stephen King's Dark Tower books. He takes the story in a certain direction late in the series that you either go along with or throw the book across the room (be careful if you have an e-reader.) No one says you have to like it. You can go with the fuck flow, or give up on it. I hated the ending to Lost, but it has its defenders. Some people are pissed about Glenn on The Walking Dead. Some people are gonna be pissed about whatever happens to Jon Snow. As long as it makes sense within the show, I'm cool with it.

The Raising Arizona homage was a nice touch. The two deaf kids playing ball may or may not have been Mr Knuckles and Mr Wrench from season 1. Mike's fate reminded me of Vic Mackey's.

Pretty sure that was Mr Knuckles and Mr Wrench. Hanzee reminded me of Malvo the way he went after those bullies.

I've enjoyed reading the reviews this morning. I'm going to have to go back and watch season 1. I didn't make the connection last night about Hanzee becoming season 1's Mr. Tripoli. All that talking about a new face, or starting his own empire or even when he says "kill or be killed, head in a bag" in that scene at the baseball field and his new ID being Tripoli and it still didn't register. At any rate, what a great show. Cue War Pigs.

I didn't make that connection either. I don't think I ever knew the Fargo dude's name in S1. And it didn't dawn on me til this morning that it's Mr. Numbers, not Mr. Knuckles.

I just finished the show last night. Fantastic. Am I the only one who didn't know Lou was Lou from season 1? I guess I kind of figured this as a True Detective type show where the seasons were completely unrelated. I had blocked season 1 out of my mind.

To be fair, I watched this season right after the other. I rarely remember what happened on a show after a year long break.
