90 minutes of character development. Very few zombies last night. The foundation is set. Let the apocalypse begin!

Could be interesting for the world-going-to-hell angle. We shall see.

I'm mehing it so far. Had to make a trip to IMDB to see where I had seen the main daughter's boyfriend (Randy on the Wire, btw).

Indeed. No IMDBing necessary on that one.

Bunk was on the second season of Ray Donovan, I haven't started the third season so I don't know if he returns.

2nd Episode was only marginally as good as the opener. Everyone is unaware or in denial that there is a zombie problem. Our heroes are finally catching on.

I almost fell asleep during episode 2. Didn't make it to episode 3. I need our other heroes kicking ass. What happens when the timeline catches up to episode 1 of TWD? Are they going to have a separate storyline of trying to survive or is it over?

Meh indeed, though the third episode was the best so far. Pretty tense. But if you thought our heroes from TWD were morons in the beginning, these people are borderline caps. I understand you don't know what you're dealing with yet, but you shut your fucking door. Fucking plot devices. I'll give it the rest of the season.

I'm just tired of stuff like rioters are trashing everything in the streets except for the protagonists' truck which is conveniently left untouched. Then the streets are conveniently clear to drive away on. Later, the whole army shows up on one quiet suburban street just in time to cap a zombie that's about to take a chunk out of her husband. I don't mind them showing up, but there's a riot goin' on and a hospital that's been overrun. Maybe you guys can help out there before you clear the 'burbs.

That was more realistic than a couple of teenagers fighting over monopoly pieces.

Kinda hard to fear the walking dead when there's no walking dead in the episode.

Season 2 starts on April 10th. They really need to pick up the pace.

Season 2 arrived and they didn't pick up the pace. Damn near all of these characters deserve to die.

I haven't watched this show yet. I pretty much stopped with TWD after Beth bought it.

A one-way ticket to deathsville.

Well, number one I really liked her (she bootiful) but the main reason was just the half season set up leading to her death. You kinda had a feeling she was going to get it based on how much the episodes were trying to get us emotionally connected with her. Before then she was lucky to get 30 seconds of face time in an episode, then all of a sudden she had the most. They even teased us into thinking her and Darryl would hook up (when we all know Darryl belongs with Carol). And just the arc in general... she's supposed to be just a teenager (right? Like 17 or something?) but we're to believe she can manipulate people and plot an escape?

I also think my hitting the eject button had a lot to do with getting tired of the show in general. Kinda like after the first 6 months of a relationship, the thrill was gone. The dumb things I previously forgave (like a horde of zombie's sneaking up on the group in the middle of a field in broad daylight and killing Dale) started to bug the hell out of me. I'll probably binge it on Netflix when I can watch it before my patience runs out. Come to think of it, I said that about Mad Men, too but never went back and watched the last season.

I don't understand why anyone watches either of these shows. I really don't. Masochism, I guess. The biggest fans just bitch about how much they suck.

***** Spoiler Alert *****

Though I hardly think one can "spoil" this show you have nonetheless been warned.

Last night's episode was only marginally better. We now know Strand has an alternative agenda and that Salazar is on to him.

Maddy and Travis have got to be the most annoying couple on television with absolutely zero chemistry. I have a tough time believing that they are husband wife rather than a random man and woman surviving together.

Chris is assuming Carl's role of going dark and really getting into killing him some zombies!

Alicia, Nick and Ofelia continue to appear to be helpless so we continue to despise them.

It's time for one of these characters to get "et" by a zombie in front of the rest of the group so they all will snap out of their stupor and decide it's survival of the fittest time.

***** Spoiler Alert *****

Decent episode last night. All members of the group have a walker kill now. Nick inadvertently learned that you can cover yourself in zombie guts and blend in with the herd.

The little Asian chick from the airplane showed up though she was left in dire straits at the end of the episode. She's going to have to shed the kid if she wants to survive.

Look for Chris to reconcile with Travis now that he had to perform the mercy killing.

*********Spoiler Alerts******

Just finished catching up on this season. This was actually turned into a pretty good storyline. The writers actually killed off one of the more annoying main characters. Madison has stepped up to be the female Rick of this series. Nick and Alicia have actually become somewhat likeable after learning how to kill both zombies and predators. Daniel is revealed to be more of a badass than we first thought.

I'm in for another season.
